300 ml bottle, poured into a lager glass at home. ABV 4,5% Deep golden in colour, with one finger of hite head, going down straight away, but leaving eventually a thin film to cover the beers surface. Average activity in the glass. Heavy aroma of honey, along with lots of malts. The taste is much better. Quite sweet of course, with the honey flavour being quite intense. Very slight bitterness on the aftertaste. Medium on the body, average carbonation. I dont think it could be my favourite but it was somewhat enjoyable. It would be even better though if the honey taste was more discreet and not so straight-in-your-face.

Bleekgeel bier met kleine witte kraag die snel verdwijnt. Zoet en prikkelend bij de eerste slok. Aroma van honing, gras en brood. Fris, maar wel wat saai. Te weinig bitter.

Bottle. Very clear colour, white foam disappears quickly. Sweet nose of honey with bitter notes. Sweet and bitter, easy drinkable. Not very impressive but not bad.

Pours greenish golden with little head. Aroma is low: honey, bread. Starts sweetish and sizzling, thin, bearly bitter.

It has been a long time since I tasted something from this brewery so lets try this organic honey lager... Found in a Bioplanet store in Destelbergen. Medium thick, creamy, snow white head retaining quite well, over a deep golden beer, clear with a few tiny protein flakes here and there, calmly sparkling. Strange aroma of indeed a lot of sweet honey, but also cheese spread, buttermilk (diacetyl?), grass, Haagse hopjes if that rings a bell, iron, green apple, perhaps a hint of plastic. Rounded, soft onset with fairly low carbonation, sweet in a dull kind of way, clearly the honey speaking, but low fermentation fruitiness - unsurprisingly, considering this is a lager, of course. A sourish grainy accent comes up and along with a slightly bready pale malt sweetishness, dominates the middle phase, where a metallic hint also plays; the honey sweetness stays, but does not become really cloying or overpowering at any point. Mouthfeel is thin and a bit buttery. A soft and faint grassy hop bitterishness also appears late in the finish, fading away as quickly as it came; a weak honeyish sweetness is all what is left a few second after swallowing. Not a complete failure, but it is clear that honey works better in ales. If I were a pessimist, Id say this is just another bland lager pimped with some extra ingredient and in that sense related to the chili lagers, tequila lagers and so forth, but it is quite honest and I cannot say it put me off as much as I had feared.

Een enorm lichtgeel bier met een schuimige kraag. Een pilsachtig bitter aroma op de achtergrond. De smaak is lichtjes zoet wat overgaat in een mierzoete nasmaak. A very, light yellow beer with a fluffy layer of foam. A pilsener-bitter aroma on the background. It tastes somewhat sweet which moves on into a very, to sweet aftertaste.

30cl bottle, found in Wuppertal on the Christmas-Market. Best before 12.2015. Malzig-milder Antrunk. Frisch-malzig, dunkelmalzige Anklnge.
Sehr tolle Kombination. Nicht penetrant-s, schn stimmig, toll! This is how the combination of beer and honey has to be! Not too sweet, nice malty, great!

33cl bottle Appearance:Clear light amber, poor head, no lacing Aroma: Honey Taste: Honey, light floral hints, faint light metallic notes. thin body, average carbonation Problem is not the honey, but the basic beer. which is a bad ager which can not compensate the honey sweetness making the thing artificial. I I want a honey Ibeer will get the Twents Honing Tripel, which is far more interresting.and is actually quite good.

In fles van 33cl. Mooie gele kleur met een matige schuimkop. De naam doet eer aan de smaak. Duidelijk honing.
