Bottle (it was free, yay!). Pours a clear amber with a small frothy tan head that leaves nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of flowery hops and light malts. Flavor isn’t as bad as I was expecting! Light bready and caramel malts, also some toasted malts, and nice flowery hops. A light sweetness with a good malt backbone. Very drinkable! I would drink this again definitely. I’m not sure if that makes me happy or sad...but in any case, Budweiser got this one right. sneagrams3 (2337) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - SEP 2, 2008
Tasted 8/15/08. 12oz bottle. This currently holds the record for the highest % beer from my hometown boys. This is from my notes...Filtered with an amber hue. Layer of off-white head. Slight nose with touch bready malts. Light, almost medium bodied with a nice tangy flavor and a slight bitterness. Mild caramel malts with a slight hoppy finish. Touch muted, but tasty flavor. Solid effervescence with a crisp tingle. Quite substantial hop dose, for a big timer! Noticeable in the finish. Tight and citrusy when it’s straight from the fridge. As it warms, the palate rounds and rolls. Too little too late? I wonder how long this will be around. But a stand up effort from the home team! Indulgence (141) - Ajo, Arizona, USA - SEP 13, 2008
Sample given by local distributor: I went into this with an open mind and heart, I know that AB with it’s resources could come up with something other than a Bud Light product extension... here it goes, aromas highlite the crisp hops, it really reeks of some fresh hops, the malt is kept in check but adds some sweetness to the mixture, this American Ale is beautiful in the glass, an incredible bright ruby red with a fluffy 2 finger head, lacing is spotty but it sticks, flavor is where it falls a little short, they got the look and the aromas right, but the flavor is light compared to some of the more extreme beers, hops start out then some roasted malts, but the body is too thin to add any weight to the greatness that lies within, this is the only place where it falls short, BUT overall, it’s a nice beer and would drink it again if they had it available at places. milwaukeebeer (53) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 19, 2008
i wanna be cruel to the macro, but i have to admit i enjoyed this one. toasted malt aroma compliments the deep amber color. decent off white head was a complete surprise as was the lacing. flavor with hints of hops and roasted malts and caramel. slightly dry finish. solid effort djd07 (15106) - Houston, Texas, USA - SEP 25, 2008
Bottle. Poura s clear amber color with a small off white head. The aroma is a faint caramel and raisin malt. Decent lacing on the glass. The taste is a bready malt with a light carmel. Easy to drink with a nice dry finish, didnt taste the "hop finish" as advertised but glad to see AB finally coming around to the craft brews.

Bottle and draft. Pours lovely bright copper with thick, creamy, lasting head. Faintly fruity nose with citrus and cider notes. Light bitterness, fruity backdrop with some subtle citrus-hop presence. Full body, soft carbonation. Physically attractive, really drinkable and yes, it tastes pretty good. I don’t much care who makes the stuff. I’m a slut. Delicious beer from start to finish! A great session beer, however it could have been a little hoppier for my taste. It reminded me a lot of Sam Adams Boston Lager only better! I hope in the future that they will produce something with more hops. This makes an excellent session beer for me and the price is reasonable ($5.49 a six pack). vgw080020 (4) - Texas, USA - OCT 15, 2011 does not count
After some skepticism due to the fact that I hate all things Budweiser (except for their commercials), I was actually impressed. It’s nothing like their other products; it actually has that after-taste that beer is supposed to have, instead of tasting like piss-water. Thumbs up! fredandboboflo (1570) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 26, 2008
Bottle. Aroma of sweet and toasted malt, tropical fruit and floral hops, all working well together. Flavor well-balanced as well with a focus on the sweet, fruity, bread and toast malt. Light bodied, but hey, it’s supposed to be. Clean, semi-dry finish. I’m proud of A-B.
