With a blend of two-row caramel malt and four types of domestic hops, Budweiser Black Crown is finished on a bed of Beechwood chips for a smooth, balanced taste. Incorporating the proprietary yeast directly descended from the original Budweiser yeast strain used by Adolphus Busch in 1876, Budweiser Black Crown retains the key characteristics of Budweiser with its clean taste and high drinkability. Featuring more body, color and hop character than the flagship lager, it also has a slightly higher alcohol content at 6% ABV.

Poured from a cold bottle. Clear golden color, large white frothy head. Wet towel hops smell. Smooth butter flavor.

This beer smells overwhelmingly like dough yeast and slightly of caramel malts, and the color is a slightly dark orange with a bubbly texture and a large white head that fades rapidly. The taste is slightly sour and slightly sweet, and the palate combines a medium body, lively carbonation, slick texture, and a long, sour finish.

bottle. Poured clear copper with a thin diminishing head. Sweet light malt aroma. Crisp and light body with a slightly dry finish. Flavour of bready malt, light caramel notes, a touch metallic.

Clear Golden color with a high amount of carbonation. Nose consists of Caramel, Barley, Munich Malts, Toffee and slight hoppy notes. Flavor is mainly cereal grains, caramel, barley, and malt sweetness. Very underwhelming and dry aftertaste. Body is light and moderately carbonation. Not much flavor but at least it’s tolerable.

It’s like Budweiser stepped up their game a little.... This is an OK beer. Heavy oaky Carmel malt nose, almost like a quad (but not anywhere near as good). Taste is malty. Not a very stand out flavor but it is very drinkable and its pretty sweet... And its pretty OK... I’m pleasantly surprised...

Where and how: Bottle 355 ml Virginia Beach
Aroma malty with fain hop profile, slight hint of wet cloth. Caramel, slightly estery. Touch of alcohol.
Top: small, white with some lace.
Base: clear, amber gold.
Palate : fairly dry, medium bodied with fuller walls. Average finish.
Taste: caramel like hints, not too sweet. Slight mineral hints
Other notes fairly decent malt base. Easy going. For macro – decent try.

Bof!

Geokkjer (7643) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 11, 2013
Bottle. Pours golden with an off white head. Aroma of malt, herbal notes, corn and fruitiness. Flavor is sweet and fruity with some malt. Medium body, average carbonation.

Bottle 650ml @ Hotel Room, Fairfield Inn, Placentia, CA
Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, hay and floral. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle, 22oz. A clear, golden beer with a small, white head. The aroma is sweetish and lightly fruity, rather uninspired. The flavor pretty much the same, fruity and lightly sweetish, a faint bitterness chiming in. Short finish. Most definitely not worth a revisit. 130811
