With a blend of two-row caramel malt and four types of domestic hops, Budweiser Black Crown is finished on a bed of Beechwood chips for a smooth, balanced taste. Incorporating the proprietary yeast directly descended from the original Budweiser yeast strain used by Adolphus Busch in 1876, Budweiser Black Crown retains the key characteristics of Budweiser with its clean taste and high drinkability. Featuring more body, color and hop character than the flagship lager, it also has a slightly higher alcohol content at 6% ABV.

Bottle from Jessup plaza. Pours khaki with an Light brown foam. Not much on the nose except for a slight maltiness. Smooth on the tongue but not particularly flavorful. Very thin on the tongue I’m not sure Budweiser understands the whole craft beer thing.

Dark Brown coloured beer with a medium White head. Aroma is malt and some caramel. Taste is roasted malt and caramel. Medium palate.

12 oz from a six pack bought from a neighborhood mom and pop store. This has the best possible chance of getting good marks from me..just back from the beach..thirsty and very very hot..so here goes. Pours a slightly darker yellow colour but not much, head seems thicker and lasts longer than the usual Bud, Aroma, cardboard, bread and caramel, slight bourbon/wood. Not bad. Smooth malty, caramel, again the woody tones that remind me of bourbon.Slight grassy hop in the end. Palate is pretty good for the style and maker. Not a bad little lager really far better than regular Bud.

Bottle. Pours a light golden. decent sized head that quickly dissipated. Mild grainy aroma. Very smooth. Flavor is of filtered water with a touch of caramel. Goes down easier then most macros. Given the choice between this and regular Bud I’d pick this hands down. That doesn’t make it great by any means, but it is drinkable. Non offensive like bottled water.

Bottle. Dark gold, white head. Sweet corny watery mess. It amazes me how a brewery can so consistently and deliberately churn out utter garbage. Well done.

Bomber. This is a little darker than golden but not a lot. It has a fairly big off white head that dies a fizzy sounding death. A grainy malted aroma is not big. I taste malts more than anything and they are pale. There is a bit of spice, corn, and grass. Hops are scarce. This is rather sweet. So, this was not great.

Looks like your typical American logger as it pours a golden copper very clear very carbonated not much head. Absolutely no hop aroma seems like it has a Caramell aroma. Taste like a typical American logger with a little bit of unpleasant licorice flavor aftertaste. Absolutely nothing special about this Marketing ploy by Budweiser to make more money. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A clear light golden brown in color and appearance. has a smooth finish. Offers a fuller taste and mouthfeel then Budweisser. Citrus and grain taste and aroma.

Appearance has a light golden brown color. Has a medium sweetness and bitterness to it. Grain notes on top of a slight citrus taste. Overall I enjoyed Budweiser Black Crown over Budweiser, it offers a fullers taste and mouthfeel.

Great for Budweiser, but no where near good enough to call it a good beer. Light aroma of flora and cracked wheat; however, taste is clean with a woodyday finish. Ptoured into a standard pint from bottle. Moderate head with almost no lacing. Aftertaste is something left to be desired (standard shit beer aftertaste). Overall, a nice break from Bud for those who drink it. If you reserve your Budweiser for emergencies, leave this beer for just that. Nothing to write home about.
