With a blend of two-row caramel malt and four types of domestic hops, Budweiser Black Crown is finished on a bed of Beechwood chips for a smooth, balanced taste. Incorporating the proprietary yeast directly descended from the original Budweiser yeast strain used by Adolphus Busch in 1876, Budweiser Black Crown retains the key characteristics of Budweiser with its clean taste and high drinkability. Featuring more body, color and hop character than the flagship lager, it also has a slightly higher alcohol content at 6% ABV.

Thank God for build your own six packs so I didnt have to buy a full six bottles of this. Pretty much the same as everything else bud offers. Complete middle of the road beer; not horrible, not great but way too overpriced for what it is.

Bottle to pint. Looks decent; a transparent amber with off-white lacing. Smells and tastes slightly foughy and malty with a slight beechwood taste. Average on the palate. My expectations were exceeded.

pours clear amber with fizzy off-white head. Faint fruity aroma. Flavor of sweet sweet malt, roasted caramel, a little alcohol and finishes with bitter hops. Watery on the palate. Not bad.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark amber color with a medium sized creamy orange-white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was sour and tangy industrial lager with a yeasty undertone. The flavor was tangy sour industrial lager though with a more smoothly blended flavor and lacing the chemical presence found in many of the style. Short tangy finish. Medium body. Better than regular Budweiser but still not good.

4% version. Pours a nice clear golden color with a large white head. A light sweet grainy nose. A very smooth flavor of earthy grains, cola-like carbonation, light wood. Id like to try the 6% version as well. Very clean and decent.

Pours clear golden color with minimal white head...deep amber my ass. Aroma has sweet straw and a hint of caramel. Flavor is sweet straw and caramely mild roast. Mouthfeel is medium and the finish is skunky/straw and very mild roastiness.
