Brew Masters’ Private Reserve is an exceptionally rich beer that is a symphony of character, featuring a balanced hop aroma with 8.5 percent alcohol by volume (ABV). Based on the time-honored Budweiser brewmaster holiday tradition of collecting the richest first part of the brew as it is tapped to the brew kettles to celebrate the season, this is the first time it is being made available to the public.

hopscotch (11313) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JAN 13, 2007
UPDATED: FEB 1, 2007 Bottle... Clear yellow lager with a small, creamy, white head. Decent retention. Grainy nose with light notes of ethanal (acetaldehyde) and stronger notes of spent mash, honey and peppery hops. Sweet, boozy flavor with light cereal grains and mild, herbal bitterness. Full-bodied and chewy with medium carbonation. Lengthy, heavily sweet, mildly bitter finish. Imperial pilsener all the way. Not really my thing, but good for what it is. Spendy though!

faroeviking (11252) - Chupando chellas es como ellas, FAROE ISLANDS - JUN 2, 2008
Bottled. Courtesy of Paps. Clear amber with a small short lasting white head. Aroma of caramel, toasted malt and alcohol. Sweet bit grainy caramel and malty alco flavour.

DocLock (11108) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 21, 2007
2006 vintage from Capone’s. Merdium gold pour with 2-finger whitish head. Aroma of grainy pale malt, some berry notes, and a pretty big apricot/peach waft to the olfactory receptors. The flavor was pale malty, on the sweet side, with some heavy syrup flavor and a touch of raspberry. Toward the end, it got a bit cloying and fell apart a little, but the first half was not bad at all. Better than I expected.

marcus (10742) - Sacramento, California, USA - DEC 15, 2009
Pours golden copper with a decent white head and a toffee aroma. There is a lot more substance than the standard bud in respect to malt and hops. The flavor is sweet caramel malt with slight hop bitterness and a metallic finish.

KimJohansen (10497) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - JUN 9, 2008
Courtesy of Papsoe. Clear deep amber with tiny short lasting off white head. Sweet aroma with caramel, toasted malt and overripe fruits. Sweet flavor with overripe fruits, caramel and malty notes. Warming alcohol kicks in at the end. Somewhat vinious.

Maria (10211) - Thisted, DENMARK - JUN 8, 2008
Vintage 2007, courtesy of Papsoe. It’s beautiful, red-golden with a sweet and vinous aroma with notes of raisin, fruit, roasted malt and caramel. The flavour has a malty sweetness, it’s slightly vinous with notes of raisin, caramel and slightly grapefruit-like hops. It’s surprisingly light in the overall impression, but nice.

2/21/15. Sampled during RBWG 2015. 2007 vintage. Wow, people were way too kind with their ratings of this garbage. Amber pour with a small khaki head. Huge oxidized aroma, paper water, apples, some dark fruits. Oxidized flavor, paper, apples, caramel. Gross.

Ibrew2or3 (8860) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - JAN 12, 2008
Courtesy of Degarth. Thanks? Pours clear copper with tan head. The aroma is blandish with muted dates that have been festering in the sun for who knows how long. I also sensed faint roasted malts and vague hops. The taste is mild and medium – middle of the road sweet dark fruitiness followed by creamed corn, cereal and a bit of booze. There is a mild hop and metallic note near the finish.

bought downtown, big ole bottle all to myself ...(why did i do this) .... pours a dark brown maroon colour .. a good maltster head on the medium pour .. but the lacing i say needs more work ... there are some nice simple flavours, caramel and maple, things of that sort ... "attire optional" ... shows the alcohol near the end, but it is a pretty good offering from the bud guys... 7-14-08 ..$52 billion offer from inbev for bud today...
