Very fresh and light pilsner, not bitter not too sweet. With medium body it is my favorite pilsner.

Bottle .33. Hoppy and malty aroma. Lively carbonation with small head. Malty and hoppy flavor. Properly floral with dry finish. Classic.

.5L Bottle Marburg, Germany- nice crisp pilsner aroma and taste. Great to try the REAL thing; much more grainy tastey and full bodied than the AB type.

Disagree with the comparisons to Pilsner Urquell. Czechvar doesn't have any of the classic pilsener flavor or bite that Urquell has. This beer is good though and fun to drink the namesake of Bud.

It's been a while since I had this fresh, in Germany, but oh boy was it good. This is a lot like pilsener Urquell, but sweeter/maltier. I'm anxious to try it now that it will be here in the USA.

Just one step behind Pilsner Urquell, but it is still one of my favorite beer. Light golden colour, tiny carbonated.

33 cl. bottle. Simple but subtle nose of hops and malt. Taste also simple, but very smooth with a hint of sweetness. Bittery finish. Balance is excellent.

Not the best Czech beer, but that is not a complaint. This is famous by comparison to its infamous cousin. Clean flavour with plenty of malt and hop subtleties.

Thans to Anhauser-Busch Corporation, Budvar had to change its original marketing name to Czechvar. It is the greatest beer that ever came from the Heart of Europe - Czech Republic. GO BUDVAR!!!!! If you won't like this, you won't like anything.
