RAYBOY01 (2012) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 13, 2006
Sweet grain upfront followed by a substantial hop bite in the middle. Tart notes as well. Very crisp and dry finish that I find very refreshing. This should be what domestic macros aspire to be.

Bottle. Pours a gold color with a small head. Nice hops aroma. This actually tastes better than the American Bud. Nice and crisp....

UPDATED: JAN 2, 2008 Pours a clear golden color with a medium sized, lasting head. Aroma is of grains, hay, and hops. Tastes of hops and grass with some citrus as well. Mouth is sorta thin and crisp. Needless to say, this should be the bud for you...

Tastes like no other pilsener. Every time I have drunken this, it has had this strange (not bad) flavour, which I cannot identify. An interesting pilsener, not as refreshing as many others, but funnier.

TheGrandMaster (2335) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - FEB 4, 2006
Poured from the bootle, a carbonated clear straw yellow with no head. An unfortunate (and suprisingly) malty aroma. Some sweetness underlying the flavour (honeyish) and a surprising initial smoothness followed by a pilsener’s usual dry finish (but not too dry). I can see why it is considered one of the better lager-style beers out there.

Sweet and malty. Heavy. Not as much hops as I like. Amber. Good head. Flowery smell.

IMtheOptimator (1167) - Brookfield, Connecticut, USA - FEB 1, 2006
Poured an effervescent golden with a large fluffy white head. Sweet aroma of caramel, corn, and a touch of grassy hops. Taste is somewhat lighter than the aroma but pleasant. Lightly sweet corn and caramel, and the grass hops hit you way in the back. No real off flavors, and pretty easy drinking. Unagressive, even bland, but inoffensive. I would certainly drink this again if someone offered it to me.

UPDATED: JUL 17, 2012 Bottle. I seem to remeber this being better than this. Golden, disappearing white head. Lager hop aroma with some citrus. Finish is quite pleasant. But its still a lager. Bit of biscuit. OK but made me feel bloated. 2.5 Re-rate bottle at home during the Budvar tasting night. Good lemon slightly syrupy on the malts still

beervana (781) - Libertyville, Illinois, USA - JAN 25, 2006
(01.22.06) On tap at Firkin’s, Libertyville, IL. Clear golden yellow Pils lager having a giant white head with good lacing. No discernable carbonation. Sweet malt aroma. Light-to-medium bodied lager that starts with light malt sweetness and light hop bitterness. Finishes dry and clean with a pleasant light corn aftertaste. Fuller flavor and body relative to a typical American lager such as Budweiser and Miller. A very good drinkable lager.
