bottle-i ws very impressed by this fresh spicy pils. pours a lightl yellow with a small head. big saaz hop notes-crisp hay and lemon. This has it all-spicy hop notes, good malt base, grainy flavors and that lemongrass finish. This is best when fresh.

UPDATED: JUL 10, 2009 Excellent beer, not quite as spicey as urquell but very quaffable. Another fine example of how our country (USA) can take something good from another country and bastardize it. And then have the gaul to sue the brewery for the rights to the name. Re-rate: Oh how I long for the days of the brown half liter bottle. Okay, the first culprit I look for, the green bottle stink, the fart in an empty room... Honestly, not so much. Saaz hops, leaning more towards an ocean breeze rather than spice and no discernable sulfur. Very round and polished body, no harsh grain or angular edges, very soft with a nice touch of hop spice to crisps things up. Excellent brew, although a properler handled bottle, ie. no light exposure, is essential. Don’t be afraid to ask them to open a sealed case for you. 88

I think this is the right one? Smooth enough, not much foam or lacing. Good enough, a fine start to a Saturday morning.

Clear amber body, aroma is a bit sulfury Pretty rich and smooth while going down. Not much of a finish.

Tapped. Yellow/golden colour, decent white foamy head. Bready/hoppy nose with hints of grassiness. Flavour is quite hoppy with huge peak after a few seconds, the finish is quite "vegetably". Bittersweet aftertaste and leaves the mouth a bit sticky.

Poursa golden hue with a light fizzy white head. Aromas of skunk, gras, and just a touch of hops. Flavors is fairly bitter on the palate, yet smooth going down.

Translucent golden blonde, with almost a greenish hue. The fizzy cloud of head calmed down quickly, but from start to finish tiny effervescent bubbles seemed to come out of the bottom of my glass, like a champagne. This is what a lager is supposed to smell: freshly cut grass Saaz. Not very malty, but the herbal hop finish has just enough bite to make you come back for more. Light mouthfeel, but still refreshing and enjoyable, when you’re in a lager mood, which happens to me from time to time.

Golden color with plenty of carbonation and no head. Skunky aroma and flavor. Not as bad as bud, and I bet it would be a lot better fresh.
