50 cl Bottle. Nice golden colour with a fine head. Good aroma of malt and some hops. Very good taste and fine balance between hops and malt, good finish, some bitterness to the end.

I don’t know much about lagers, but this was certainly the best I’ve tried. I was particularly struck by the aroma. Delightful sweet taste with a brief, crisp bitter finish. Easy drinking for a warm summer’s day.

UPDATED: JUL 23, 2005 From the bottle: Pours clear golden with bubbly white head that thins fast. I’ve had it dozens of times but this is the first time rating it. Smell of bitter grassy (predom. hay and skunky aroma that seems common to eastern european pils.) Not my favorite style. This is a fine example and much bolder in taste than A-B’s interpretation. Bold malty flavour.clean finish. I prefer a dortmunder overa bohemian pils any day.

Pretty good compared to the American Mass Market beers, but doesn’t compare to Pilsner Urquell. Definitely better than the US Budweiser, though.

UPDATED: OCT 2, 2006 This was one of those beers that got me into beers, but after having it again i realise that iv come to better stuff. Aroma is reasonable and slightly sweet. Taste is a bit malty with quite a bit of carbonation, very dry finish. Its worth a bash this fellow as its a bit different to your usual lager, though nothing special.

It’s basically budweiser but it’s a lot better. A much better Pilsner then it’s American cousin.

On tap at The Lemon Leaf, Prague. Decent hoppy aroma. Plenty of bite on top of full sweet malts. One of the best mainstream pilsners, along with Urquell.

rich golden color , a bit of a stinky smell, light carbonation. the beer has a nice sweetness to it without much bitterness.

Light hops aroma with some malt. The color is a rich golden color with lots of carbonation but not much in the way of head. The taste is light and pleasant and not as watery as many pilsners. The flavors of the hops give it a small spice and citrus taste, but mostly you taste the sweet malts. The beer finishes just like it starts. A serviceable beer if you want a pilsner.

Slightly hoppy aroma. Clear golden color w/ a 1 finger head that dies quickly. A tad spicy & malty. IMO, a very solid daily lager. I realize it’s not the greatest lager out there but I’ve always liked it even though it’s a bit overpriced @ $8.99 a 6er. I could drink many of these. A great session beer if I’m in the mood to keep drinking for awhile.
