COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Prémiový tmavý ležák doplňuje tradiční nabídku piva z pivovaru Budějovický Budvar, n. p. od roku 2004. Je vyroben stejným postupem jako originální světlý ležák, za použití nejvybranějšího žateckého chmele, moravského sladu, vody čerpané ze 300 m hlubokých artéských studní a tří druhů speciálních barevných ječných sladů: mnichovského, karamelového a praženého.

Charakterizuje jej výrazně tmavá barva, suchá, jemně hořká karamelová chuť bez dominance sladkosti. Vůně je delikátní po praženém sladu.

0,5 l can. Pours dark reddish brown with big frothy lasting tan head. Aroma of malt, light roast tones, some caramel, bread, malt with some floral hop notes. Light sweet, light bitter. Body is quite light, texture slick, carbonation average, finish is quite dry. Nothing wrong with it, drinkable, but that’s it.

Pours a clear mahogany with ruby highlights and a 2 finger mocha cap which last as a surface lace through the beer. Aroma is in line with a properly made dunkel - roasty, light caramel tones, hints of chocolaty sweetness with grassy hop undertones. Big silken chew on malts, roasty, toasty, cocoa tones, finish goes dry with bright saaz bittering and black patent malt charred grain astringency. Satisfying, flavorful and a utilitarian match for many foods. In my opinion one od the best beers on the market.

UPDATED: JUL 12, 2017 Aroma: Chocolate and cereal notes. Appearance: Black color with clear liquid an tan head. Taste Medium bitter with light sweet notes. Palate: Medium body with creamy texture and average carbonation. Long bitter chocolate finish. Overall: Pretty soft in general but the balance is good, fresh and easy to drink for being a dark beer.

UPDATED: APR 9, 2017 [Butelka 28.02.2018] Czarna barwa i brązowa obfita piana. W aromacie karmel, smak palony, słodowy. Nawet znośny "tmavy lezak".

Draft at the Cafe Kafka in Prague The beer poured a dark black color with a long lasting tan head. The aroma of sweet roasted malt greets you. The beer has a medium body with soft-average carbonation. The beer has a clean finish with caramel closing the swallow.
