COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Prémiový tmavý ležák doplňuje tradiční nabídku piva z pivovaru Budějovický Budvar, n. p. od roku 2004. Je vyroben stejným postupem jako originální světlý ležák, za použití nejvybranějšího žateckého chmele, moravského sladu, vody čerpané ze 300 m hlubokých artéských studní a tří druhů speciálních barevných ječných sladů: mnichovského, karamelového a praženého.

Charakterizuje jej výrazně tmavá barva, suchá, jemně hořká karamelová chuť bez dominance sladkosti. Vůně je delikátní po praženém sladu.

Copenhagen 16/10 2014. 50 cl can from Rema 1000. Pours dark brown almost black with light brown head which subsides quickly. Aroma is sweet malts and a little coffee. Low carbonation. Taste is rather neutral at first but opens up with notes of coffee , a little chocolate and nice bitterness for balance. Nice Dark lager.

labeled as Czechvar here in the USA - quite a dark brew, darker than i expected. malty and toasty, clean with a good balance. not overly sweet despite the malt aroma, and very well put-together. excellent brew, well executed for the style.

scotty (1160) - SCOTLAND - JUN 14, 2006
Dark tawny in colour, with a firm pale coffee coloured head. There is a pronounced fruity nose with some underlying malt...however it’s much lighter than I expected, a slight maltiness flts across the tastebuds and is replaced by an astringent acidity, the finish is minimal. Ok I suppose, but not a patch on the other stuff. Morrisons

ComradeK (1158) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - MAR 20, 2011
500ml bottle as Budejovicky Budvar Imported Dark Lager. Pours a deep, dark chestnut, with a large beige head, passable retention and good lacing. An alluring herbal, forest aroma greets the nose, with some dark malt notes coming through. Spicy herbal hops start it off, with a smooth, tannin-dominant middle section and a lasting caramel finish. A nice example of quality dark lager. Good stuff.

Flaska Bishops örebro. Svartbrun kulör. Sötaktig doft med rostade inslag. Smak av rostad malt, mörkt bröd och lite blött papper
