COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Prémiový tmavý ležák doplňuje tradiční nabídku piva z pivovaru Budějovický Budvar, n. p. od roku 2004. Je vyroben stejným postupem jako originální světlý ležák, za použití nejvybranějšího žateckého chmele, moravského sladu, vody čerpané ze 300 m hlubokých artéských studní a tří druhů speciálních barevných ječných sladů: mnichovského, karamelového a praženého.

Charakterizuje jej výrazně tmavá barva, suchá, jemně hořká karamelová chuť bez dominance sladkosti. Vůně je delikátní po praženém sladu.

Butelka. Idealnie klarowne, ciemnorubinowe.

500 ml bottle. Clear almost black liquid with ruby highlights. 1 finger stable off-white head. Aroma: Czech hops, coffee, bitter chocolate, roasted malts and even a touch of cocoa ice-cream. Flavor is chocolatey, roasted malts, noble hops, instant coffee. Average carbonation. Light body. Good dark lager.

BrewWhatIWant (214) - Ontario, CANADA - JUL 5, 2017
Pours clear, very dark ruby (try a narrow glass) with a quickly thinning beige head. Aroma is very malty. Taste is slightly sweet with a mildly bitter dry roasted finish. There are notes of dark roasted coffee, peanuts, plums a hint of liquorice and a bit of malt in the background. Body is fairly light with plenty of carbonation but it still comes across as creamy. There is an off flavour or perhaps it’s just a bit too astringent from the roast but otherwise a good iteration of a dark beer.
