COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Prémiový tmavý ležák doplňuje tradiční nabídku piva z pivovaru Budějovický Budvar, n. p. od roku 2004. Je vyroben stejným postupem jako originální světlý ležák, za použití nejvybranějšího žateckého chmele, moravského sladu, vody čerpané ze 300 m hlubokých artéských studní a tří druhů speciálních barevných ječných sladů: mnichovského, karamelového a praženého.

Charakterizuje jej výrazně tmavá barva, suchá, jemně hořká karamelová chuť bez dominance sladkosti. Vůně je delikátní po praženém sladu.

a) Schöne schwarz-rötliche Farbe, beiger Schaum.

b) Thanks to ThirstyBird for sharing. Smooth malty nose, nice malty roasty start. The mainpart is nice roasted, very dry, nice malty bitter. On the tongue remains a nice malty dry aroma with hints of liquorice and roasted malt.

Chlebowe, wytrawne. Goryczka niska, palona, przyjemna. Klasyka stylu, jedno z lepszych tmavych jakie piłem, intensywniejsze od konkurencji.

Bottle, that I believe was shared by a local, from notes. Pours brown in color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have toasted malts, caramel, a light nutty character, hop character seemed off in some way, I wasn’t expecting much and therefore not disappointed.

0,5 l can. Pours dark reddish brown with big frothy lasting tan head. Aroma of malt, light roast tones, some caramel, bread, malt with some floral hop notes. Light sweet, light bitter. Body is quite light, texture slick, carbonation average, finish is quite dry. Nothing wrong with it, drinkable, but that’s it.

Pours a clear mahogany with ruby highlights and a 2 finger mocha cap which last as a surface lace through the beer. Aroma is in line with a properly made dunkel - roasty, light caramel tones, hints of chocolaty sweetness with grassy hop undertones. Big silken chew on malts, roasty, toasty, cocoa tones, finish goes dry with bright saaz bittering and black patent malt charred grain astringency. Satisfying, flavorful and a utilitarian match for many foods. In my opinion one od the best beers on the market.

Aroma: Chocolate and cereal notes. Appearance: Black color with clear liquid an tan head. Taste Medium bitter with light sweet notes. Palate: Medium body with creamy texture and average carbonation. Long bitter chocolate finish. Overall: pretty soft in general but the balance is good, fresh and easy to drink for being a dark beer.
