Out of the three Project 12 beers Batch 23185 I had the most hope in A-B brewing a formidable beer. Reading the label is where the confusion started, A-B brewed a ’Light Amber’ with bourbon staves and vanilla beans. Why not brew a full bodied Amber? The label does say Budweiser so my guess it can be anything as long as it is light. Aroma of vanilla, and bourbon evident, pours a strong foamed golden yellow. Good looking beer, drinkable, decent, just think it could of been more. Beerdrinker79 (2188) - Idaho, USA - NOV 28, 2012
12 oz. bottle, thanks Poisoneddwarf- Pours clear light copper with a one finger head that reduces quickly. Aroma is caramel malt, I do detect some hops and a moderate spiciness, not horrible! The taste is caramel malt, vanilla, not much hops in the taste, watery. Body is the worst part, thin and unimpressive, carbonation is high. Better than expected, but it is still Budweiser. Bottle from Total Wine West Richmond, VA. Pours a clear amber color with a large foamy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of grainy malts and the mildest oak you can imagine. The taste is grainy malts, vanilla, faint whisky and faint bourbon. Grassy hops. Thin-medium bodied. Bland and weak, but not bad. cbfobes (2885) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - NOV 23, 2012
Poured from 12oz bottle, pours a clear light golden with a thin white bubbly head, aroma is of light grain with some bread notes, the flavor is of grain on the front end with slight sweetness in the finish, I suppose that’s the vanilla, light mouthfeel, not a drain pour but won’t be buying another sample pack of this stuff, tick tick. Bottle poured a clear gold with a small lingering white head. Aromas of bread, vanilla and light fruittiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a smooth finish. Flavors of bread, light vanilla and a hint of oak with a smooth finish.

Bottle. Dark gold colored body with a long lasting light khaki head. Nose of light vanilla and leather. There is also some hint of wood. The taste is like a woody light lager with some hints of sweet potatoes. There is also a light hint of the vanilla in the aftertaste. The additions are decent, but the base beer is still a common pale lager. Better than I expected. trujahwarrior (510) - Monroe, Washington, USA - NOV 21, 2012
Pours a golden color with a medium white head that leaves decent lacing. Smells of bourbon, vanilla and light malt. Tastes of vanilla and bourbon with the typical lager flavors mixed in. Mouthfeel is light and crisp with good carbonation. I was pretty surprised by this it is a pretty solid lager from budweiser. scooterbub (1067) - Lander, Wyoming, USA - NOV 20, 2012
12 ounce bottle. Pours a golden amber with a ½ inch white head. Taste is of bourbon, vanilla, malt, caramel and some warming alcohol. Similar aroma. Decent body, slightly thin with some alcohol in the finish. Second best tasting, but not the easiest to drink at times. puboflyons (3466) - Allenstown, New Hampshire, USA - NOV 20, 2012
From the 12 fl. oz. bottle marked 12276-WA24. The pour is golden in color with a soft head that settles down momentarily and plenty of upward carbonation. The aroma has a hint of vanilla as advertised but not a lot in the way of bourbon. The body is smooth and medium. The taste is incredibly sweet and slightly bready with a quickly finishing crisp hoppiness. Don’t let the name Budweiser sway you. Try it blindly. marcus (10559) - Sacramento, California, USA - NOV 20, 2012
Pours clear amber with a modest off-white head and a fruity aroma. There is a light caramel malt flavor with a vanilla finish.
