COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The beer was first brewed in St. Louis by brewmaster Jim Bicklein and was developed in collaboration with brewmaster Katie Rippel from Fort Collins, Colo. The original Budweiser brewery is, of course, here in St. Louis, so we wanted to honor our brewing heritage with a beer that uses ingredients that German immigrants, like our founder Adolphus Busch, would have used when they came to the United States, Bicklein said. In this pilsner we use the same types of Hallertau and Tettnang hops commonly used in St. Louis during the late 1800s.

12oz bottle. I dont know why youd want to make a 6% Pilsener. Pale, soulless orange-tan. Odd snaky carbonation bubbles. Thin, oily head. Dulled malt aroma, not offensive, not enticing. Really fails to capture the zest and crispness of a Pils. Too sweet and malty, makes you wonder what they were thinking. Better than regular Budweiser, but had some corny factory action going on for sure. Bullshit.

Budweiser Batch No. 63118 has a thick, creamy, off-white head, lot of thin lacing left on the glass, a clear, reddish-gold appearance, and a good amount of streaming bubbles in the beer. The aroma is subdued, but one can detect light, sweet grains and fruit (think of apricot). The taste is also very fruity (one wonders if fruit is not, in fact, added to the beer), with white bread crust, sweet grain, light brown sugar, and a slight hop bite at the end. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Budweiser Batch No. 63118 finishes crisp, refreshing, and not too dry. Drinkability is high with this one, and not much alcohol is detected, except in the back of the throat after a few sips. Overall, this is another interesting offering from InBev. RJT

Hmmmm. Bottle via Ralf and Andrea. Deep golden pilsener. Now you know I do love bohemian Pilsener. This is not one of them. Overall it tastes like an old dog not truly wanting to try new tricks. Maltier and fuller than ordinary Bud. Thin hop presence. Overall a variant of a cheap canned euro lager/pilsener such as Branik or Lech.

Golden coloured body with a thick, five centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of pale malt, alcohol, cardboard, rice and not much at all - pretty bad. Light-bodied; Subtle malt note with some cardboard and grain right behind, a hint of alcohol and some rice, malt and basementy flavours. Aftertaste shows a dull maltiness with absolutely nothing else worthwhile. Overall, a pretty poor offering, worse than the other one I had from this series so far, and not worth buying - nothing interesting here. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 12-December-2012 for US$0.98 sampled at home in Washington on 07-January-2013.

Beer pours a deep gold color with a foamy white head. Head dissipates quickly. Nose has a slight grassy hop note and a dms note. Grainy quality as well. Beer is very sweet for a lager. Nothing really going on here. Tastes almost like a sweet Budweiser . Not a whole lot of flavor to talk about here. Very drinkable beer though.

Pour from a 12 oz bottle. Yellow brew with white head. Aroma of grain and the signature AB Budweiser hops family. Taste is more or less like a Budweiser but a little amped up - slightly fuller body and more taste. Not bad.

Clear golden with nearly no head. Aroma is sweet malts, earthy hops, and some grain. Medium thin body. Flavor is earthy, biscuit, and sweet malts. Odd bitter finish that kinda comes out of nowhere. Definitely the worst of the three.

Golden clear beer with minimal head. Taste lightly sweet with raspberry flavor. This beer has hardly any bitterness.

Not much of a scent, bit grassy. Pale golden color, taste like a watered down sweet mess. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
