1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
UPDATED: FEB 17, 2005 Light straw colored beer, with quickly disapating head. Crisp finish and end. No aftertaste. This is due to the general lack of taste altogether. Hops not truly pronounced. Malt in the nose upon opening, but not very malty or flavorful. Not an outstanding beer. I have had more flavorful water.
Now this is a tasty beverage! Brings back fond memories of my community college days as I stumbled into a 9 am online class 14 minutes late with my pants half down and the taste of my best friends future ex wife still lingering in my mouth - those were the days..... balloonbuffoon (325) - - MAR 29, 2017
From a 25floz can (02.22.2017 canned date) bought for $2, and poured into a glass. I consider this a very good light beer. It is clean, crisp, and due to the overall lack of flavor it also lacks off flavors. Not much to look at as it is pale and what head there is quickly subsides. Smells like particle board, but so do many pale lagers. Palate is light tasting like liquid kashi (cereal grains and white rice). I have to say, it is my go to when craft selections are lame, situation appropriate, and best in the macro-light lager class. Oh, I’ve had this on tap and bottle. It tastes consistently the same. 12 oz. bottle at Big Fred’s Pizza, Omaha. Pour was clear golden, small white head. Aroma was barley, grains, cereal. Taste was moderate sweet, watery, cereal grains, barley. Shanebrews (293) - Virginia, USA - DEC 5, 2016
This is more akin to Black Crown than to Bud Light or Budweiser. It is, purportedly, all malt and I actually believe that because it has a hint of caramel color. I suspect they get it so ’light’ by brewing a malt bill that would make Bud Light but without all the rice. The taste is more refined and clearly features a more sophisticated hop selection than the yellow Buds. Overall, very drinkable if not a particularly versatile beer. johnnymusky (983) - Minnesota, USA - NOV 26, 2016

Backlog. Pretty similar to bud but with less flavor. They tried but still not as much flavor as Bud and that is saying a lot. Brettsky06 (445) - Manitoba, CANADA - MAY 22, 2016
Tastes exactly the same as a Budweiser but less calories woohoo. Pretty much just a standard tasting mass produced lager BeerRenter76 (1015) - Texas, USA - MAR 19, 2016
Originally rated on 6/16/08. I was out at my towns annual summer celebration and my choices were the select, budweiser, bud light, and miller lite. So when faced with two evils always select the one you never tried. First of all i was gouged on the price but it was hotter than hell, oh well. it went down smooth, not much flavor, watery, standard A.B. mass produced beer. With that said it was better than the other choices if only for the alcohol content. ordybill (1758) - Douglasville, Georgia, USA - DEC 19, 2015
Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a clear light yellow color with a thin white head. The aroma is of sweet grain and corn. The taste is grain with some malt, a little watery. Overall, an average beer. theisti (4126) - Kansas, USA - AUG 3, 2015
12 oz twist off bottle someone left behind at a party I had earlier in the summer. 12APR15 born on date. The pour is a clear pale golden with a quickly falling white head. The aroma is sweet malt, some honey, all pretty faint. As the beer warmed, some grain. The taste is generically sweet tasting malt, clean through to the finish. The palate is light to thin bodied with soft carbonation, which was softer and easier to drink than Bud Light or Bud. The aftertaste is bit dirty sweet after it warmed.
