Pours pitch black with a large, creamy, tan head. Smells strongly of ginger with subtle cocoa and bready notes. Taste is exactly like chocolate gingerbread; that really is all that can be said, it’s sweet and a touch spicy. Medium-to-full bodied with a velvety texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Buffalo Bayou Gingerbread [Imperial] Stout finishes sweet that fades to ginger spiciness after a while. Yummylicious. Extremely rich and full flavored. Tangy in the mouth, goes down smooth.

Wow, i was hesitant on paying the $13.00 price tag for this at first but glad i did; strong aromas of Gingerbread, chocolate texture, pours solid black with a small cocoa colored malty head. Very pleased with this offering from buffalo bayou. ethanTHEtrill (57) - - FEB 1, 2015
Aged for one year. Poured into a 12 oz. Snifter and shared with a friend. Dark in color with a thick tannish head. Notes of all spice and ginger with a solid stout base. Recommend aging to those who are willing to wait. Fixersbrewing (9) - Houston, Texas, USA - FEB 1, 2014 does not count
Tap at Candelaris and brewery. What a treat, beautiful bouqet of warming spices. Upfront silky texture with a luxurious quality. Like driving a Bentley with my tongue. Ginger stands out, just enough, balances with brown sugar, all spice, nutmeg and faint yeastyness. Folds nicely into a sweetness that is expected and desired. Coffe undertones suggest bitterness and hints of cocoa with traces of vanilla. A solid brew guys!

Pours jet black with dark brown head. Smells of gingersnaps and dark malts. Taste of gingerbread, biscuits and a hint of cinnamon with a nice light biter aftertaste. Overall this is a smooth flavorful stout that has a bite!!! VernonBaxter (4) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUL 30, 2013 does not count
Straight gingerbread on the nose, pitch black with small khaki ring for a head. Initial taste is strong gingerbread/cinnamon, dark chocolate on the finish as it warms. Christmas in a bottle

From deep within the pine rich forrest, the waft of gingerbread lures...actually, it seizes you by the scruff of the neck and hurls you into the candy laden cabin. The witch, proud of her creation, allows you to gaze about...the dark ginger cookie walls, the creamy hot cocoa, the peppermint chandelier...you are intoxicated with temptation and you drink heavily her potion...its smooth spiced chocolate coats your throat and warms you deeply. The bitterness of your fate materialized in liquid form...care not, doomed little one...just enjoy!
