Type: 12-oz. bottle
Glass: Manzanitas pint glass
From: Albertson’s in Alpine, Calif.
Price: $1.67 ($9.99 for a mix 6-pack)
Purchased: Sept. 30, 2014
Consumed: Oct. 4, 2014
Misc.: Enjoy by Jan. 4, 2015
Poured a dark caramel, auburn, hazy color with 1-to-2 fingers of creamy white head. A decent amount of wet foamy bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Below average spots of foamy lacing on the sides of the glass. Below average retention on the top all the way down. (Sight - 3.61)
Smelled cinnamon, nutmeg, molasses, pumpkin, dark Belgian cloves, gingerbread, banana bread, honey and caramel. Very nice on the nose. (Smell - 4.22)
Taste wasn’t as good as the nose, but close and still decent. Got cinnamon, pumpkin spices, nutmeg, molasses, gingerbread, banana bread, honey, roasted rye, Belgian cloves and banana. (Taste - 3.93)
Medium body. Thin texture. Soft carbonation. Long, semi-warming finish. (Feel - 3.64)
I’d have to crunch the numbers, but one of the better pumpkin ales I’ve had. I know I haven’t had a lot of the good ones yet though.
(Overall - 3.80)

You know onetime, this asshole (and I can’t even remember who or where) said that pumpkin pie wasn’t "real pie". It hurt my feelings. It made me mad. I love pumpkin pie. I don’t love this beer. It’s good. It’s balanced but monotone. Got it in a 6 pack sampler and that’s a perfect place for it. Drink one to try it. Write a review and move on. bkurtz (1149) - LITHUANIA - OCT 3, 2014
Pours a clear amber with a small, creamy head. Pumpkin pie aromas: Cinnamon, clove, pumpkin. Taste is a little muddled, not something you would ask for again. tightslice (1529) - Redwood City, California, USA - SEP 25, 2014
Bottle from Whole Foods in Redwood City, CA. Pours a medium to dark amber. Aroma is squash, dirty water, some cinnamon. Flavor is watery, earthy, clay, squash. Stale pumpkin pie flavoring in a moldy, water-downed 711 slurpee found in a dumpster. Minus all the good stuff. Luvystypotables (2099) - Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA - SEP 16, 2014
Aroma of pumpkin spice with a clear orange color no head. A watery feel with a spicy taste and a spicy finish.

This is a good cheap little beer. It’s nothing fancy. Nice smell of pumpkin and pumpkin spice taste. Squash taste is detectable as well. It could be better it could be worse. I’m enjoying it! vilsack1987 (24) - - AUG 29, 2014
Not bad for a cheaper pumpkin beer. Its very smooth with a pumpkin taste. Cool looking bottle. Happy Halloween! generallee08 (778) - New York, USA - AUG 18, 2014
Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12 oz bottle into a tulip glass. The label lists the abv at 5.2 % abv.
Appearance: The body has a cloudy, deep orange amber color with a small quick fading head on top. The head fades out completely despite lots of visible carbonation rushing to the surface.
Smell: It has some light spice and light squash with a light fruity candy like maltiness. Overall light but balanced.
Taste / Palate: Like its aroma it has a light body with thin pumpkin pie spice and light squash like pumpkin notes. Hop flavor and bitterness are very low. The palate is light and well carbonated making it easy to drunk.
Notes: It is definitely not the most complex pumpkin beer but there are no unpleasant or off flavors. The highlight to this beer is that I could drink quite a few of these in a session unlike some of the heavier spiced pumpkin ales. GreatDane1632 (1174) - North Dakota, USA - JUN 29, 2014
Rated from notes taken 8 Sep 2012 -- I rated this a 4 out of five on Untappd, but I don’t know why. If I recall correctly I wasn’t a huge fan of this beer. gunnfryd (15502) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - DEC 11, 2013
Bottle. Pale amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is caramel, malt, hop, pumkin. Flavour is caramel, malt, hop, pumkin, spices. Carbonated. Ordinary beer.
