Most delicious beer i've ever had, a normal but very good beer taste with a hint of almost pumpkin pie flavor, simialer to the smell only the smell has a much stronger pumpkin pie smell, Not a very strong Ale flavor at all, and not a very strong beer flavor it tastes like it's 2% alcahol when its realy 5%, further more the smoothest beer ive ever had it runs about 7 bucks for a 6 pack so its a bit expensive but other than that perfect. fuyu (2) - USA - SEP 15, 2005 does not count
I love this beer. This is one of my favorites. It has a great aroma, nice color, and it tastes great. Very mild, not strong at all, and the spices aren’t too overpowering. It’s a shame that it’s seasonal. I look forward to this coming back in the fall! Will be on the lookout for it, I heard it’s already on the shelves in costplus. TCT328 (15) - - MAR 2, 2013
I looked a long time for a great pumpkin ale that actually tasted like pumpkin. Buffalo Bills actually tasted like liquid pumpkin pie and ale mixed. It had the right amount of seasoning and wasn’t bitter. It will the cornerstone of my Fall lineup. mikeben (355) - Naperville, Illinois, USA - SEP 17, 2003
UPDATED: MAR 3, 2004 Good stuff, not overly sweet but no bitterness. I like it I wish it was a little more pumpkiny but it has the spices just right. Very complex it has hints of nutmeg allspice, cinniman, even pumkin(lol) Anyhow this is a great brew but a little thicker and more pumpkimy would make it great. It may be a little off puting to some but I like unusuall beer. bac080 (398) - Bloomington, Illinois, USA - OCT 20, 2003
Can I just say...wow!?!?
This tastes like pumpkin pie in a bottle, with lots of spices.

This is what all bottled pumpkin beers wish they could taste like. The nutmeg and pumpkin flavors are in perfect balance, with a touch of bitter hops rather than the sickeningly sweet finish you find in most other pumpkins. Thin in texture, yet the spices warm it up nicely. Compared to all beers, it doesn’t rate so highly, but for what it claims to be--and what it is, I find it superior in its subcategory. iron_maiden (18) - Newnan, Georgia, USA - SEP 30, 2012
Don’t let this one fool you...It is excellent ! Smells like liquid pumpkin pie. Taste like cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, pie crust and pumpkin. Better than most of the half assed attempts at a pumpkin beer, i have sampled quite a few over the years and this one is on my top 10 list. Southern Tier Pumking, Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin Ale, Heavy Seas The Great Pumpkn, Shipyard Smashed Pumpkin, Terrapin Pumpkinfest, Sam Adams Fat Jack Imperial Pumpkin, Lakefront Pumpkin Lager, Buffalo Bills America’s Original Pumpkin Ale, Sam Adams Harvest Pumpkin Ale, Post Road Pumpkin Ale...Theses are my favorites..you be the judge bubbahollywood (3) - USA - DEC 29, 2003 does not count
Nice spicy aroma and a lovely golden autumn color. Taste like a pumpkin pie flavored beer. I normally don't like flavored beers, but the pumpkin spice flavors blend well with the beer. Not much head on this beer but it taste great. fmbrewing (12) - Dodgeville, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 1, 2006
this is one of my favorite pumpkin ales. With a smooth, sweet taste and spicy but soft smell, I can’t get enough. enotheque (25) - Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 5, 2010
Wonderful pumpkin ale that actually has balance pumpkin spice flavors and bitter ale elements. This is one of the better pumpkin ales I’ve had, right up there with DogFish Head.
