Alengrin (5639) - BELGIUM - AUG 8, 2014
UPDATED: NOV 10, 2016 Tripel from three hobby brewers from Machelen, with a thick, rocky, sticky, yellowish white head and warm peach blonde colour, misty. Fruity and yeasty aroma with spicy accents, impressions of pineapple, grass, banana, ginger, amaretto, orange; taste fruity and citrussy with quite sharp carbonation, then caramelly and honeyish malt sweetishness, bit thin mouthfeel for a tripel, bitterish finish but unfortunately phenolic and with insufficiently masked alcohol. And what’s with the name? Ever since Westmalle set the standard, consumers expect a ’dubbel’ to be a brown beer - this is basically another tripel!

MoritzF (10068) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - NOV 19, 2012
(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, golden colour with a big and minimally off-white foamy head. Bready (cara-)malty aroma with notes of overripe fruits and baking yeast. Moderately sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a slightly prickly carbonation. Yeasty cara-malty taste with mouldy fruity notes and with a delicately hoppy bitterness underneath, lingering into the sweet-bitter malt-accented and slightly sugary finish. 27.X.12

imdownthepub (15160) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 9, 2012
Bottled, 750ml cork & caged from Hopduvel Warehouse, Ghent. Gold with floaters and gushing white head. There is a spicy, yeasty character to this, some coriander then a light, sweetish orange flavour, fruity, light on the palate. The alcohol does show through fairly significantly with a drying close. Reasonable.
