This was a bottle share at the Grand Tasting at the RBSG 2017 in Boise. In my tasting glas was brown with a tan head. Nose of moderately roasted malts with maple. Medium body. Flavor is maple syrup and chocolate Finishes with some sweetness. Good.

Bottle at RBSG. Medium depth brown pour with a thin brown head. Aroma is very sweet, sort of one-dimensional with the maple. Lighter body than the average stout. Tastes sweet? very sweet. Flavor of maple syrup and chocolate malts, some toffee too.

Bottle. This is a nice sweet stout with a really rich maple overlay. Perfect for a dessert beer. May be on the sweet side for some.

Bottle, 7/16/2016. Pours black, with a medium, bubbly, dark tan head. The aroma is baker’s chocolate, and a ton of maple syrup. Notes of chicory, cloves, and toffee. Sweet and syrupy, with a light bitterness. Medium body, a little oily, syrupy, and watery. This is a pretty nice, sticky-sweet stout. Fun idea, and relatively well done. Could do with a heavier body, and a more balanced flavor.

(En fût à la source): La décadence d’une Imperial Stout dans un plus petit contenant. L’érable est partout et se marie avec le fudge superbement avec une subtile finale boisé et terreuse. Un hommage à la hauteur de The Sadies à qui elle est destinée.

Bottle. Pours black with tan head. Aroma is Sweet, maple and chocolate. Mouthfeel is pretty thin with low carbonation. Taste is chocolate maple maybe a little smoke. It’s not bad and for the price point good for what it is. I would enjoy an imperial version better personally. My favorite maple stout is still Great Notion Double Stack.

500ml bottle. Sweet maple syrup aroma with notes of roasted malt and chocolate. Pours dark brown with one finger of light brown head that has excellent retention and decent lacing. Starts with roasted malt flavor with a little bit of chocolate. Finishes smooth with some roast and chocolate still as well as a healthy amount of sticky sweet maple syrup that makes for a syrup-like mouthfeel. Nice stout that syrup addition compliments well.

Deep dark brownish black pour under a thin light tan head. Big fat maple filled aroma with a little bit of sweet cocoa. Flavor is pretty similar, dark and roasty and slightly roasty/cocoa-y, with a big overlying flavor of authentic maple syrup without all the sweetness. But there’s still a fair bit of sweetness. It’s like someone dumped Canadian syrup into a pretty good stout.
