Ungstrup (37674) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - OCT 28, 2007
Draft. A deep red beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, but also light notes of nuts. The flavor is pretty much like the aroma with a dry finish.

brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - OCT 9, 2013
On tap @ Bull & Bush. Dark brown pour with a tan head. Water, fruity esters, and dirt on the nose. Some sweet toast, bread, and a bit of toffee. Flavor is just kind of bland, but okay. Toffee, bread, and toast. Dirt/earth, fruity esters, and water. Bland, but at least it’s not offensive.

3.2
Ratman197 (14852) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - APR 15, 2007
On tap @ Falling Rock poured a clear reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of sweet toasted malt, cocoa, carmel and toffee. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of toasted malt, light cocoa and a hint of nuttiness with a smooth malty finish.

BeerandBlues2 (13323) - Escondido, California, USA - JAN 8, 2007
Draught at brewery. Pours clear light brown with a small fizzy off-white head, mostly diminishing, spare lacing. Aroma is average malt (bread, caramel), light hops (flowers), average yeast (dough, earth) with notes of cola. Light bodied, thin texture, flat carbonation and a bitter finish. Short duration, light sweetness, acidity and bitterness.

cubs (10636) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - FEB 16, 2011
Tap @ brewpub. Somewhat translucent brown appearance. Fairly string nutty characters on top of brown maltiness in the nose. Somewhat creamy mouthfeel with below average carbonation. Quite nutty brown malty flavor that’s very smooth and very easy drinking. One of this place’s best beers.

gnoff (10462) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - OCT 13, 2012
Draught at Falling Rock on October 12, 2012
Clear dark brown color, tan head. Sweet, malty, caramel taste. Medium mouthfeel, medium high dry bitterness. Sweet malty scent.

JorisPPattyn (10004) - Ursel, BELGIUM - OCT 1, 2003
(draught) Dark-deep brown, no head. Nose of molasses, bit nutty - and I get some parsley again. There's hops there too. Taste is soft-sweet, nearly neutral taste. OK for a brown ale or a mild, but not exhilarating. Well-bodied, not thick. some sticky mouthfeel (molasses again?). Brown ale is not really my style, I suppose. This one is not really bad, but I can't go wacko over it.

onceblind (9700) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAY 29, 2011
UPDATED: JUN 3, 2011 Chestnut brown, with clear ruby tones. Aroma of light cocoa, sugar cookie, and assertive nutty notes. Texture was a bit bland, a bit too light bodied with not enough carbonation. Not punchy enough. Lots of smooth nutty brown malt on the flavor. There is also some light cocoa tones, but little else. Finish is very fleeting.
