On tap @ Falling Rock poured a clear reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of sweet toasted malt, cocoa, carmel and toffee. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Tap at the Falling Rock. Pour of creamy, dark toffee appearance, layering a thick, frothy head up the sides of the glass. Aroma of cream soda, vanilla cavendish, salted taffy, fig, and raspberry. Nutty, sweet and soft. Flavor is a sweet mash of old bananas, cinnamon, caramel, red licorice, vanilla, and toffee. Palate is cool and very soft with an earthy, woody texture and lots of residual sugar; finishes long and dry with raspberry bitterness and some gummy iced tea. A fairly dark and robust brown ale, with a lot of chocolate and hazelnut character to it, as well as a fair amount of roasted malt flavor, and some buttery qualities on the back end - moderate bitterness and some leafy character in the finish - a decent brown.

On tap at the brewery. Pour is clear brown with a slight red tint and a creamy tan head. Nutty and malty aroma, vanilla, graham crackers, grass, light maple syrup, and brown sugar. Draft. Pours a thin off white head, with minimal lacing, over a clear brown (SRM 25) body......nose is light toffee.caramel, light cocoa, chocolate.....taste is cocoa, chocolate, nuttiness, slight toffee/caramel, finishing with a light bitterness......mouth feel light of medium, slightly astringent, carbonation low. This is a mild take on a Northern English Brown Ale. It is, overall, rather simple in its construction with minimal complexity, but it does fall into the style. 16.9 ounce bottle. Pours a reddish brown with a two inch tan head that lasts. Taste is of roasted malt, caramel, fruit, barley and some nuts. Similar aroma. Has a decent body that is on the lighter side. Overall, pretty good.
