Great name - great beer - the nose is full of bright fruity notes and zesty hop character - the flavor is much the same, with a wonderful balance of lightly sweet malt, bright fruitiness, and spicy hops - nothing in-your-face, just damn tasty - I could drink this all day. arminjewell (9635) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - SEP 26, 2011
On tap at the brewpub, very hazy orange pour with nice white head. Aroma has notes of really nice citrus, with grapefruit, tangerine and orange leading the way, going into a nice caramel, toffee, biscuit middle. Taste has really nice bold grapefruit, orange, tangerine, some lemon, toffee, caramel, lots of nice biscuit to balance finishing bitter but very tasty. Best brew for sure at this place. dnstone (3404) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - MAY 10, 2012
Well hopped nose. Hazy golden orange in color with excellent head. Very smooth and thick. Strong malt backbone but well balanced still with hops. Funny name and I love the pint glass that goes with!

On tap at the brewery and from growler at home. Poured in a Chimay chalice.
Pours amber with modest head and lace.
Aroma of straw and floral hops, slight minerals.
Moderate carbonation and penetrating mouthfeel.
Flavors of bitter straw hops, grapefruit rind, lemon mist, guava extract, white and black pepper, slight malt sweetness. There’s a bitterness that penetrates the tongue.
Overall big and tasty with strong bitter hops.
It’s not my preferred profile of hops, but I respect this enough to get a growler now and again.

UPDATED: OCT 26, 2003 Warm, smooth and creamy malt flavors swarmed my palate. Sweet, bitter and perfumey hops up front; slowly built into a healthy bitterness. Somewhat crisp in the finish. Sweet/malt/hop combo is nice. Very drinkable and very tasty. CASK: All the great things as above, but with cask qualities, of course (soft carbonation, creamy, yeasty). Notes of licorice. Good stuff! Cask Conditioned. The beer is a hazy copper color, with a large frothy head that is slow to go away. The aroma has a hint of wood in it but smelled primarialy of caramel, and there is also a nutty smell this could have been caused by the cask though. THe initial taste is slightly sweet, and bitter, then it becomes hoppy. The finish is sweet but still bitter. overall it's a good beer. craftbeerdesign (2254) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - OCT 6, 2011
on tap at Bull & Bush on 9/30/11. orange pour with a 1/4" white head. balance aromas between caramel malt and nice citrus hops. big malt driven body with caramel followed by some lingering bitterness. bitter and sweet finish. nice English IPA. Steve_0 (3745) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JAN 26, 2013
On tap at the brewery. Pour is clear golden orange with a frothy white head and great lacing. Big citrus and grapefruit in the aroma, earthy hops, somewhat spicy, caramel, and straw. Taste is citrus, orange peel, pine, light bread, and caramel with a big bitter finish. Medium body with high carbonation. Damn decent IPA. jinroh (1578) - ESTONIA - DEC 21, 2013
Pours reddish orange amber. Aroma has some floral hops, blossoming. Somehow I can feel strawberries… and a bit of alcohol. Taste is quite well balanced, fruity with some citrus. It has a nice body, well balanced with hops. Aftertaste has some grapefruit peel bitterness, lasts longer. As an IPA, this one is good, nicely bitter and not too heavy. Almost session able - only if it didn’t have that high abv!
