This British-style IPA features citrus-filled aromas and a very malty foundation that marries nicely with the bold hop notes that emerge on the palate and ultimately dominate its lingering finish.

Well hopped nose. Hazy golden orange in color with excellent head. Very smooth and thick. Strong malt backbone but well balanced still with hops. Funny name and I love the pint glass that goes with! Notes: Pub visit during ’09 GABF

Bottle from Foothills Liquors. Malty IPA, almost close to an APA, malts dominate the hops. Amber pour with soft creamy head. Aroma leans on the malt bills, as does the taste. Not a hoppy IPA by any means. Yet, tasty in its own right. If you like English, this one’s for you.

16.9 ounce bottle. Pours a orange copper with a thin beige head. Taste is of malt, hops, pine, resin and citrus. Hop and malt nose. Has a mostly full body with a bitter and dry finish. Drinkable and quite tasty.

16.9 oz. bottle, consumed on 12-20-15. Bottled 9/15/15. Pours an effervescent, clear, dark bronze with a moderate to large amount of beige head. Pretty good lacing. Nice looking beer. Juicy, malty aroma features scents of cotton candy, mango, and mineral water. Malty, boozy taste. Sugary, fruit-juicy. Apricot, toffee, and caramel flavors. Bitter in the finish. Medium body. Smooth in the palate. Acceptable but forgettable palate effects. My guess is that this is past its prime at a little over 3 months old. It’s definitely not bad but probably would have been better a couple of months ago. Between lack of bite from aging hops, the juiciness of the hops that likely have been present from the beginning, and the maltiness of the beer by the standards of the style, the beer simply is sweeter than ideal. Note: Seeing after the fact that this is a British-style IPA makes me think that the flavor effects I’ve experienced were intended and not from fading hops. Regardless, the flavors aren’t great.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours hazy copper with a fizzy white head. Tastes like bitter hops, grapefruit, some pine, dry toasted malt, and a hint of fruityness. Light/medium body and medium carbonation. Smells like caramel malt, grapefruit hops, some resin, and bready.

Tap: mild for an American but just right if it’s an English IPA. Wonderful aroma of citrusy hops with a smooth finish. Nice.

Steve’s in Term B in Denver. Creamy, fruity and quite malty. Zippy pepper pops in and out, sweet citrus is a clear second to the zip, plain caramel, boooooring.

Bottle thanks to Tom. Pours a dark copper with small beige head that lasts leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is pine, citrus, floral. Medium mouth fruity hop, pine, light bitterness, good.

Ouray, Co. - Ouray Liquor Store - 1 pt .9 fl oz bottle. Dark copper pour, sticky off- white colored head, nice lacing. Aroma has dates and raisins, a touch of toffee. Flavor is very malt oriented with some caramel accents, some nutty accents, some peach marmalade accents, very brief citrus bitterness. Most definitely a British IPA. Thick, sticky mouthfeel. Nice change of pace for an IPA.

A very mellow ipa. Strong malt back bone with a very light hopps balance. Had to get this one due to the name. Smells citruscy. Pours orange with a thin cream head ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
