Never rate bottles, but some hick from Greeley is unfairly bringing down the score of this beer. Probably drank it downwind of a feedlot. Anyway, this beer is an exemplary use of the Sorachi Ace hop in a lager, regardless of adjuncts; as quaffable as a Saazer pils.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours clear bright gold with a fizzy, bubbly white head. Tastes like dry pine hops, green vegetable, light spice, rice, and pale malts. Light/medium body and medium carbonation. Smells like dry pine hops, green vegetable, rice, pale malts, and light citrus.

From the bottle the poor is clear blonde and highly carbonated with a thick white head that lingers, the aroma is crisp, citrus, hops maybe even a little pine, the taste is hoppy with bright slightly sweetened notes, the finish lingers within bitter but not unpleasant aftertaste, the mouth feel is to medium. As I continue to drink there is little hint of a Belgian style ale in there as well but it’s very minor

Bottle with a cool label. Hazy golden with a white head. Get a lot of floor cleaner, like Lemon Pledge on the nose. Don’t get much of the ginger off this. Honkey says he does, but I think he’s just drunk and exhausted. Not my flavor.

375 ml bottle poured a clear gold with a lasting white head. Aromas of bread, grapefruit, lemon zest and a hint of rice. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, grapefruit and lemon zest with a crisp dry lingering bitter finish.

500ml bottle. Floral aroma at first but then it gives off lemongrass, rice and ginger notes. Pours clear golden colored with a thin white head with decent retention and some lacing. Starts with lemongrass and lemon notes with biscuity malt as well as some rice. Finishes fairly smooth with floral hops as well as a good amount of ginger and other spice that lingers on the palate. Interesting brew with a new combination of ingredients.

UPDATED: SEP 18, 2015 Bottle. Lightly hazed amber-gold with a short white head. Aroma impression is lemon, lemongrass, preserved lemon, ginger, toasted rice, honey, toasted malt, onion, herbs, wildflowers. Medium bodied, medium sweetness with well-suited bitterness. Lemon-citric in the mouth, plump cushion of carbonation, crisp and sharp with savory (is that the miso?) baked bread / toasty malt. Seems well made, the core is sound, it’s juicy and savory in the mouth... all around solid lager, but no doubt it would be better without the rice, miso and ginger.

More people need to drink this beer. By description it sound funny but damn is it good. Juicy upfront but layered with spice, soft sweet ginger and just damn flavorful from one sip to the next. The palate is light and slips down the back of the tongue with balanced carbonation levels and finishes really well. Good job Bull & Bush.

Clear golden with a thin foamy white head. Delightful nose with lemongrass and ginger and smooth crisp biscuity lager malt. Crisp flavor with nice strong hoppiness featuring grassy and slightly lemony bitterness, lager biscuitiness, some jasmine rice, some ginger, and a crisp bright finish.
