Strong piney hop nose...tingles the nostrils a bit. Orange in color with no head. Hoppy all the way through. Light mouthfeel. A decent IPA.
Notes: Pub visit during ’09 GABF
On tap at Hops & Pie. Clear golden appearance. Piney, hop-forward aroma with light resin, light bready malts and light zesty citrus fruits. Similar flavor, adding moderate hop bitterness and a light malt sweetness. Medium body with a light dry finish. Not bad. arminjewell (9720) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - MAY 20, 2015
Pour on tap at the brewery, clear golden pour with white head, aroma brought notes of bread, biscuit, lemon, slight grass into a bit of slight spice, touch of orange. Taste was a mix of grass, grain, bread, some slight orange into more sweet malty notes, touch of spice, finishing slightly bitter. Beaver (1846) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - DEC 20, 2014
16.9 oz bottle. Pours hazy golden orange with a medium pillowy head that retains well and leaves a little lacing.Terminus (3716) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - SEP 28, 2012
The aroma is bready malt and some piney hops and noble hops.
The flavor is sweet cereal malts with skunky hops. The mouthfeel is medium boded.
Overall, tastes more like an imperial pils than an IPA.
Tap at the brewpub-september 2012-pours lightly cloudy orange hue with a small soapy white head. nose is diacytl bomb!!!!!! Damn too much big D here for me....ugh wow damn this is bad. Huge resinous flavors under all the D with some lingering leafy hop notes. damn this is bad. needs alot of work. DrinkEmUpJones (1069) - Georgia, USA - SEP 28, 2011
Very cloudy light orange with nice lacing. Full aroma of candied citrus, white flower and grain; a little musky. Powerfully hoppy with orange blossom and flower notes on the palate as well as some bread grain & wheat. Very lingering finish. Serious ipa, not for quaffing madmitch76 (25568) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUN 5, 2011

On tap at the brewpub. Clear gold beer. Hoppy and fruity. Crisp and clean. Hops don’t overwhelm.
On tap at Bull & Bush brewpub. Clear yellowish color, nice frothy white head. Aroma is beautiful and greatly hopped. Orange, grass, and flowery hops all present on the nose. Taste is okay, but has some background noise of green bell pepper. Citrus zest hops up front, a bit peppery, ending with green pepper. Not a big fan, unfortunately. Bold yet subtle body. Pale golden pour. The nose is lightly grapefruity and orangey with a straightforward Cascade hop character. Resiny hoppiness with a touch of soft bitterness on the back. A little bit spicy and chewy. Fresh and simple, but tasty. Pawola22 (3262) - Woodridge, Illinois, USA - FEB 28, 2010
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a lightly hazed, golden colored body with a finger-width, creamy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is somewhat muted, but has some sweet pines and caramel. Some grapefruit and a hint of bread. Flavor is better with a nice hoppiness. Sweet caramels with a grapefruit, tropical fruit, piney, moderate bitterness. Some distinct tangerines as well as some bread before this dries and leaves a moderate length aftertaste. Medium to full body and smooth with a light carbonation. Overall, a decent IPA. Not the most aromatic, but the flavor was solid and balanced.
