Draft into a tall pilsner glass, super hazy tan with a white head. Nose of sweet wheat, tea, some banana and caramel notes. Some bread. Simple, very drinkable and refreshing for the style. A summer dunkelweizen.
Draft at the source. Cloudy golden amber color. Aroma of brown bread and caramel. Taste is peppery caramel with subtle citrus. Tasty. TURDFERGUSON (4058) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - MAY 19, 2012
Tap at da Bull. Super cloudy. Notes of grain, water, plastic, dust, minerlas, tea, lots of banana, light clove. Very drinkable and not too sweet. Very simple and a fine summer dunkel. DukeBrewDevil (732) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - MAY 16, 2012
Draft at brewery. Murky brown color, very cloudy, and only a hint of head. Nose of bananas and some rustic barnyard notes. Flavors are similar in a lot of ways to a hefeweizen but with more malty backbone. Bananas, citrus, a touch of caramel. It didn’t look too inviting, but it was quite tasty. emacgee (4674) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - MAY 15, 2012
Cloudy golden amber pour with a creamy off white head. Nose is nice at first, candy-like/nutty with a light showing of clove. Some soy sauce and grainy notes. Medium in body.
