[Tap] Part of a sampler at the brewery. Light reddish amber pour. No head. Sweet caramel and light grassy hop nose. Sticky caramel taste with light vegetable/corn notes. Residual sweetness continues into the finish. Not one of their better beers. Skyview (6099) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - MAR 30, 2012
On draught at the Bull Falls brewery taproom in Wausau, Wisconsin. Pours a bright and dark reddish amber colored brew with an average sized off-white head that leaves behind some spotty lacing and a thin white ring. Aroma of toasted dry malt, a hint of caramel, and some grassy hops. Taste is medium to full bodied, with plenty of toasted English malts, balanced with some grassy hops and a hint of caramel. Finish is semi-dry with an excellent balance of dry malt and hop bitterness. Definitely closer to an authentic Irish Ale than an Irish Lager with a little extra hop presence for the American beer drinker. Well done!
