On tap at Bull Falls. Poured cloudy, rich golden with a dense off-white head. The aroma picked up sweet bananas, graham cracker, and a little chocolate laced with vanilla.. touches of earth accented.. clean and candied. The flavor was sweet again with banana, vanilla bean, and bread above all else.. dry carbonation and light, toasty bitterness around.. finished very sweet and a little cloying. Light-medium bodied and dry on the palate despite the hefty dose of sugars.. hard to drink after the nice initial impression. scoobysnak (333) - Appleton, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 16, 2010
A very respectable beer. Some nice hops notes, some clove, banana, and esthery notes. My first weizen bock, but now that I have been introduced, it won’t be my last. nuplastikk (6420) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 28, 2009
Draft at the OF. Hazy brown-orange, minimal head. Mild banana and dark malty aroma. Solid banana clove taste, balanced by a smooth dark malt backbone. Still remains quite sessionable, nice and mild, very well balanced. Sweet banana finish. Skyview (6093) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - JUL 5, 2009
On draught at the Bull Falls taproom in Wausau, Wisconsin. Pours a hazy golden pale amber colored brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that dissipates to a thin ring and spotty lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, some yeast, a hint of banana esters, cloves and a touch of flowery hops. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonated with flavors of caramel malt, some golden grain malt, a touch of white pepper, banana esters and a touch of clove. Finish is semi-sweet, slight banana bread aftertaste that slowly disappears.
