On tap at Bull Falls. Poured clear, very bright golden with a short, sticky white head. The aroma was light with bready and honey malts leading.. a pinch of lemon rind surrounded.. pleasant, but there wasn’t a whole lot to it. The flavor found orange blossom honey and bready notes at the core, with crisp leafy and lemony accents.. sweeter on the finish.. very well done. Light-bodied and crisp and mentioned on the palate.. long, refreshing tingle at the end. Skyview (6093) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - APR 6, 2011
On draught at the Bull Falls brewery taproom in Wausau, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-clear golden yellow colored brew with a creamy white head that has excellent retention and lacing. Aroma of both floral and some light grassy hops, Czech lager yeast and a hint of fruit. Taste is light to medium bodied, crisp, a hint of white pepper and lager yeast. Finish has a mild yet sharp bitterness and then completes the finish like a Czech pils. Everything I expect for a fresh zwickelbier except not as hazy. Still, quite solid.
