UPDATED: NOV 18, 2017 Keg, Fox E8. Deep brown not quite black, creamy off-white foam. Rich malty texture, hint of warming booze, notes of chocolate, coffee, red fruits, caramel, edge of roasty bitterness, bit of milky cream. low hop flavour. Good old school stout. Re-rate, London Beer House. Above seems pretty accurate, it's a good one this.

Pigs Ear Fest. Cask. Opaque black - brown beer, good tan head. Palate is smooth, dry and has decent fine carbonation. Rich if thin dark malts, powdery dark chocolate. Mild malt cream. Little tangy dark fruits. Light dry finish. Dark chocolate linger. Just another stout really, tad richer than the crowd.

Taste of roasted malts, chocolate, dark fruits, some liquorice, slight spice and subtle coffee. Medium bodied and moderate carbonation. A spicy, roasted bitterness in the finish. Tarted off a standard stout but it’s quite spicy with a hint of sweet fruit too. Enjoyed it.

Cask at the brewery taproom. Pours deep brown with a lasting, foamy khaki head. Then nose gives away light roast, milk chocolate, earth, cocoa. Light-medium sweet flavor with decent mocha character, some coffee grounds, baking cocoa, scorched earth, dry wood. Medium bodied with fine carbonation; pretty good condition. Lightly drying in the close, with some bittersweet baking cocoa, scorched earth, dried chocolate bar, bitter earth, toasted grass. Pretty solid overall.
