Sampled at the DC Ratebeer Gathering. Pours a transparent, coppery gold with one ring of cream head. Nose of tropical fruit, apples, candy sugar, booze, coconut, light wood. Flavor is sweet, candy sugar, tropical fruits, caramel, coconut, vanilla, pears, white grapes. Full bodied, sticky finish. Incredibly smooth. craftycarl21 (2338) - Seattle, Washington, USA - OCT 17, 2011
Thanks to MrChopin! Clear amber pour. Nose of apple, plum, apricot, and sugary candy. The flavor brings peaches, bananas foster, along with a bit of doughy yeast. Smooth but a bit cloying on the palate. Still fairly nice. Drake (14033) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 10, 2011
Bottle shared by MrChopin. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a thin head that fades quickly. Aroma of bourbon, wood, glue, toasted notes and an earthy, vegetal finish. The taste is bourbon, caramel, sweet sugar, apples, stone fruits and bubblegum. Medium-full bodied. Decent but the bourbon aging didn’t do this one any favors. dark amber, thick beige ring. Heavy bourbon nose, light paper, bit of peach syrup, apple, lots of caramel. flavor is caramel, light ester, peppery, bourbon, faint paper and oxidation, fruit following through finish. Pretty sweet, smooth and mellow, the bourbon flavor present without the heat, married to fruit though not as bright as base. oteyj (2139) - New Hampshire, USA - OCT 9, 2011
Thanks MrChopin. Clear amber with a small white head. Apple cider, dough, smooth caramel, hints of toffee, and mild oxidation. Super smooth palate with low carbonation and a sticky sweet finish.

Not really worth spending too much time describing, this was just a waste of good beer, the bourbon just totally covers up all the awesomeness of the base beer. CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - OCT 8, 2011
Bottle shared by MrChopin: Pours a clear deep bronze with a stringy-lacing white head. Has a sweet biscuity pale malty nose with some bourbon oak and light fruity esters. Starts with good fullness and sweet biscuity malty flavor with complex bourbon balance before a smooth bittersweet finish. An enjoyable brew. GT (10001) - San Diego, California, USA - OCT 8, 2011
750mL c&c thanks to MrChopin. Pours a hazy light orange with small white head. Not a lot of retention. Nose is estery, tawny, minty, cellar yeasty. Very nice and obviously aged. Taste is very nice- cinnamon, baked apple, big sugar component. Rich and thick. Nice body with heavy cinnamon apples and big sugar component expected in style. Bottle shared by MrChopin. Pours lightly hazy orange-gold with virtually no head. Aroma is alcohol, light bourbon and oak, caramel and cookie malt, medium fruity esters. Flavor is bourbon, caramel and oak with light fruity esters with a sweet finish. Full body, medium warmth and carbonation. JAXSON (607) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 8, 2009
750ml bottle thanks to Terry. This one is a few years old at this point. Big aroma of carmelized pears, apples, brown sugar, and bourbon. Some oxidation on the nose, which always scares me. The pour is a clear honey gold with a nice soapy head. Great retention. Assertive bourbon presence in the mouth, especially at the beginning and in the long burn on the back end. Not cloyingly sweet like I feared, but powerful and bold. There is a very pleasant stone fruit tone in there, but it’s wiped out a it by the bourbon. This is a sipper. Nicely done, though a little heavy and hot from the bourbon.
