750ml Bottle: Aroma of wheat, slight orange zest, slight curacao, fruit, white pepper, cloves, slight citrus, and slight coriander. Poured gold/yellow/orange in color with a large, foamy, frothy white head that lasted throughout. Cloudy. Sparkling. Opaque. Flavor is lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of wheat, spices, light cloves, white pepper, orange zest, yeast, and a bit of sugar. Medium body. Fizzy texture turns very dry. Lively carbonation. Wheat, spiced, slightly citrus finish is very dry. hopdog (12953) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 26, 2008
750ml bottle enjoyed at the Bullfrog Brew Pub. Poured a deeper and hazy yellow / golden color with a large sized white head. Aromas of lighter mustiness, yeast, some fruitiness, and earthy. Tastes of citrus, earthy, lighter fruitiness, some bread, and light spices. Some Brett in there that came out a little more as it warmed up, but overall on the subtle and softer side. Bottle: Pours a transparent deep golden with a large, pillowy froth of clumpy-lacing white head. Aroma of sweet pale biscuity malts and a touch of grassy hops and mild brett. Body starts with good fullness and sweet doughy malts with some lemony citrus character and clove spice before a drier, slightly earthy bitter finish. Fairly smooth and very true to style. A nice saison. DocLock (10970) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 19, 2008
Bottle via PUB’N. Pours turbid dark straw orangy with 3-finger creamy white head and wonderful head shapes upon repouring. Nose is funky yeasty spicy esters, chessy feety notes, earthy florals. Tastes a bit tart, very floral, earthy, with cobwebby esters, grainy malty notes, and a dry finish. Very unique palate, very fluffy, Simcoe hoppy, floral, earthy, and yeasty spicy. This one is very good. Miver (609) - Silver Spring, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 18, 2008

RERATE: 750ml bottle shared at brewpub. Color was much less hazy then last time I had this on tap. Brett character certainly more noticeable. Actually enjoyed this a lot. The first time I had it It must have been sucking just the yeast sediment.

On tap at the brewpub. Very distant watery sugar nose. Bland. Pours a heavily clouded wheaty gold, with a supery lace sheen of white foam
covering the beer and the glass walls. Meaty. Alcoholic and sparse. Bitter. Spices and phenols are coarse. Thin. The
body doesn’t hold up to the coarse alcohols and yeast products. The yeast comes across as flabby and a bit old. Just
not interesting or well made. Much inferior to the Beesting. TURDFERGUSON (4058) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - AUG 5, 2008
Draft @ BCTC. Nose is bready, yeasty, citrus. Flavor is yeast, grass, a bit of honey and pepper. Nice dry finish. Tasty. egajdzis (6692) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 4, 2008
[BCTC 08] Poured a hazy golden color with a medium sized, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of toasted dough, some honey, toffee, faint floral hops, some citrus fruits, and some coriander. Taste of earthy yeast, black pepper, some dough, citrus fruits, toffee malts, grass, herbs, and a dry, lightly alcoholic finish. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - AUG 4, 2008
sample @ BCTC2008. Defintaely more peppery than some saisons. First beer from this brewery & pretty good. Dry somewhat sweet fruity taste. Pretty good kmweaver (3207) - Petaluma, California, USA - AUG 4, 2008
Draft @ BCTC. Pours a pulpy dark grapefruit; huge, creamy, textured off-white head with great retention and creamy lacing; gorgeous pour. Lots of toasty grains, dustiness, and peppery / grassy notes. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: grassy / herbal character upfront; white pepper, honey, and dry toasty maltiness; very dry and pepper-driven saison; just a touch too heavy overall. Lengthy finish: white pepper, honey, and some dry breadiness; nicely dry.
