Aroma is peppery with some tropical fruit... the right nose for a saison. golden in color with a somewhat quickly dissipating head. flavor was fruity and spicy, but still not dry and malty. medium bodied. a good beer, but not a great saison. Sampled on draft this beer poured a cloudy yellow-golden color with a medium sized yellow-white head. The aroma was yeasty, tangy and peppery. The flavor was peppery, spicy, citrusy and wheaty. The finish was long, dry and spicy. bigrond (1499) - factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 7, 2007
very refreshing - I could see drinking this after my lawn mower breaing down.
light and tasty. A very good drinking beer. 3fourths (9332) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - AUG 24, 2006
Draught at the brewery. Clear golden yellow color. Nose of a proper saison (or even a tripel, or better yet the nose has qualities which are present in both saison and tripel): spicy, mild lemon fruit scents, light wheat scents as well. Flavor is spicy, with moderately harsh alcohol present (for 7%?), peppery on the tongue, a little oily and moderately thick on the tongue. Has some light hay and grain flavors, with some candy sugar as well, though most of this beer is noticed in the alcohol and sour notes. High octance, or at least it appears that way, and I think there’s a lot of unfermentables as well, as it was a little too sweet and a little too thick. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 6, 2006
Crystal clear amber body with white head. Aroma is medium sweet, honey, pepper, herb, orange. Taste is medium sweet, lemon, pepper, some honey, herb, light alcohol. Medium-full body, some acidic, sticky.
