Draft at bullfrog. Slightly murky brownish pour. Medium bodied. Slight smoke chipotle notes in aroma. Taste is chipotle sweet potatoes. Heat, malty sweetness, brown sugar. Smokey chipotle heat through; slow burn. Nice kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 14, 2013
Tap, nitro. Pours a flat opaque black body under a one finger foamy light brown head that retained well. The nose is super smoky! I should have added this as a Smoked! Rich campfire smoke and roast with a light caramel note. Not any pumpkin in the aroma at all. The flavor is mostly Stout driven with just a little smoke and a very subtle pumpkin and spice finish mixed with roasted malt and coffee. Seems like there’s a bit of cinnamon spice on the finish, but no mention of it in the description, then I realized that’s the spicy burn from the chipotles. Lighter bodied with the usual nitro feel, lingering roast and smoke finish. Nice beer, wish the smoke came out even heavier on the flavor like it did the aroma, but that’s just me.
