Draft at brewpub. Pours black with a khaki head. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Big brewed coffee notes on the nose and tongue. A little thin but very, very smooth. Finished clean. These guys sure know how to work with coffee. beern (258) - Alabama, USA - JUL 28, 2017
Pours brown, black with a nice one-finger, frothy tan head with good retention and an aroma of malt and coffee. Tastes creamy and frothy and of malt and coffee. It’s light bodied with little carbonation. FROTHINGSLOSH (8449) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 19, 2017
Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a murky very dark brown color with a medium sized creamy tan head that left decent lacing. The aroma was brewed coffee, vanilla and toasty malts. The flavor as strong cheap brewed coffee. Long finish. Medium body. Not good. ganache (6137) - New Jersey, USA - JUL 30, 2016
This one different than Bullfrog’s other coffee stouts, seems to be just the regular stout on Alabaster.
Tap at Bullfrog. Hazy brown-black, short beige head. Same as the previous standard stout plus a dirty coffee bean nose and flavor, perhaps a shade thinner. Would guess they’re using cold steep because the chocolate is elevated without any extra acid bite. [2016.07.22: 2.9]
