Growler from Rich’s buddy, thanks Lions fan. Poured a mostly hazed orange body under an average sized creamy whiteish head. Aroma had lots of spices that was peppery with notes of corriander, cloves, wheat and a touch of over ripe bananas. Flavor was peppery and spicey with lots of corriander and cloves over a body of wheat grass. Body was suprisingly light and watery for how spicey this one tasted/smelled with average carbonation and a creamy finish. Overall a very solid hefe especially since this was a growler pour. kkearn (1165) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 9, 2009
Draft, at Bullfrog Brewpub on 7/5/09. Pours a slightly hazy orange with a bit of a golden hue, topped with a small off white head. Aroma is predominantly wheat, with some spice and some banana. Flavor exhibits wheat, banana, and clove that I didn’t really pick up in the aroma. There was some soap in the finish as well. Not bad, but not as tasty as the other beers on tap that day. On tap July 2008: Pours a cloudy golden orange with a stringy-lacing froth of white head. Aroma of sweet malted wheat and some banana esters with good German yeastiness. Body starts fairly full with good sweetness and some authentic clove spice and a drier more bitter biscuity finish. Pretty drinkable and true to style. blipp (9138) - La Mesa, California, USA - SEP 28, 2008
Draft. Pours hazy gold with an off white head. The aroma is fruity, both banana and lemon, some spice. The flavor is fruity sweet and has a bit more spice than the aroma.

Draft at brewpub. Poured a hazy golden in color with a beige head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of bananas, cloves, fruity esters, slightly sweet. Tastes of cloves, bananas, mild spices, fruity esters. Traditional Hefe that is quite nice and drinkable. kmweaver (3207) - Petaluma, California, USA - JUL 27, 2008
Draft @ Bullfrog. Pours a very murky, cloudy whitish golden-brown color; off-white head with fine-bubbled lacing; very, very cloudy. Creamy bananas and soft clove presence in the aroma; touches of toasted malts; solid, refreshing. Medium mouthfeel: chewy wheat upfront, coupled to soft citrus, cloves, and toasted malts; touch of spiciness; very drinkable. Medium finish: toasty grains, wheat, and light citrus; nicely dry. Just a regular old clean hefeweizen. Slight banana and clove finish. Should be served with a wedge of lemon. bigrond (1499) - factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 11, 2007
this was an excellent beer. Clean and crisp with that refinishing spicy finish. Very easy going down. A good beer for bullfrog 3fourths (9331) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - AUG 24, 2006
Draught at the brewery. Properly cloudy yellow color, and juice-like in appearance with a white head, moderate thick lacing on the glass. Very punchy, spicy, doughy yeast scented, with pulp-like orange and lemon scents. Chewy and sweet on the tongue, juicy, a bit too much for me even, like a heavy pulp fruit juice (with respect to texture). Lacks dryness and a little sourness, but otherwise it’s tasty and well-made. Frothy up front, then a bit oily on the palate, then finishes prickly and spicy.
