Bottle, sampled with Christmas dinner 2009. Pours hazy chestnut, topped with a fairly large tan head. Aroma was fairly spicy, with yeast, wheat, apricot and apple. Yeast was the initial flavor, which was gradually joined by spice, coriander, apple, citrus, and apricot. Dry yeasty finish, with some spice. Went well with dinner. The aroma has apple pie and musky notes. The appearance is maroon amber with a thick body and a bubbly white head. The flavor is musky, malty, a bit sour funkiness. It settles very musky on the tongue. JoeMcPhee (9427) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 16, 2010
Thanks again to puzzl for sharing. Deep amber pour with thick white head. The nose is slightly tart with a bit of pineapple character. There is a slightly wet rancidity in here that I can’t say I’m a huge fan of. It’s quite odd actually. MeadMe (1661) - Fishhawk, Florida, USA - JUN 19, 2010
A: Pours an brownish amber hue with a small off white head. Lite retention and no lace.
S: Very yeasty. Subtle spice with some sweet fruit notes.
T: Weird mustiness going on here. The yeast is rather dominate as well with a nice spicy quality. Mild fruit notes with hints of candy sweetness.
M: Medium in body, zippy carbonation, dry finish.

750ml caged and corked bottle purchased at Capone’s.
Appearance: Nice brown body with garnet corners. The head is 2 fingers, beige, rocky, and beautiful! Loads of retention and lace.
Smell: Yeast, peach, apricot, and a touch of honey sweetness.
Taste: Prickly carbonation leads into some dark fruit like cherries and plums, then there is a transition to peach and apricot followed with a semi-dry finish.
Mouthfeel: Just fine medium body with prickly carbonation.
Driknkability: There is just a bitter acrid character to the flavor that makes the bottle hard to get through.
It gets much better as it warms but this one is a miss for me.

This poured a light cloudy brown color with an off white head. Aroma was light spices, some yeast and some maltiness too. Flavor was light floral hops, some tartness, light spices, and yeast. Interesting stuff. Snojerk321 (2960) - San Diego, California, USA - APR 14, 2010
750ml bottle. Pours a cloudy swampy rusty brown color with a huge off white head that coated the glass with lacing. Some spice, dried fruits and a light yeasty funk. Dried fruits on the palate with some earthy spice and a medium dry finish. Bullfrog beers are hit and miss, this one was a home run!
