UPDATED: JAN 23, 2016 Sampled on draft at Hou Thou this beer poured an orange-nut brown color with a small foamy beige head that left decent lacing. The aroma was tart and sour with a bit of hot pepper. The flavor was tart and sour with hot pepper, vague fruits and a hint of coffee. Long finish. medium body but a touch flat. Odd but interesting. Appearance: Ruddy brown body with a haze. Short lived head.
Aroma: Light but roasted coffee and sour cherry, weird.
Taste: Holy fucking weird. Sour cherry and coffee. Coffee is prominent by the finish, very odd.
Palate: Medium bodied, moderately carbonated.
Overall: I don’t know whether I like this or not, but it’s unique.
New England Bucket List Trip #203. Keg at the brewpub. Pours a clear copper with a thin fizzy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of coffee, caramel, mild cherries. The taste is tart cherries, vegetal and vinous notes and coffee in the finish. Medium bodied, mild lingering tartness.

Tap. Clear dark amber to red body with a small wispy off-white head. The nose is huge with espresso and not a whole lot else. Maybe a touch of sour cherry. The flavor is really quite interesting. Slightly tart and sour cherry with a slightly tannic oakiness, but this is primarily about the coffee. Chocolate and coffee on the finish. Medium bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. Neat idea but not a tasty style. Aroma is delicious coffee that somebody decided to pour vinegar into. Pours black with not much head or film. Taste follows suit: oak, wine, and roasty coffee with a distracting vinegar finish. Just isn’t doing it for me. Needed something roastier or spicier to tie it together.
