On tap at the brewpub on 10.30.2010.
Pours a dark brown that is nearly opaque. A pretty good light tan head and a bit of lacing. The nose is quite nice with chocolate notes mixing well with some light pumpkin spice and a bit of pumpkin. The taste really integrates the flavors well, with some sweet chocolate mixing with touches of cinnamon, allspice, and clove. Mouthfeel is really quite creamy and delicious; really smooth. Overall, great balance and a really well-designed pumpkin stout.

5oz pour from a flight. Pour is a dark ruby with two fingers of beige head that left a show of lacing as pretty as they come; this one had great retention as well. Nose is oak, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and roasted malt. Taste is right on with a blast of oak and pumpkin spice up front, which was followed by creamy roasted malt. Finish is a sweet pumpkin malt mixture that seemed to have more in common with a culinary treat than a beer. This is just excellent! dfox670 (75) - Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 14, 2011

Great pumpkin beer, seems to have more actual pumpkin flavor than some others, which are just cinnamon and cloves. Full bodied. Some chocolate as well as the pumpkin in the flavor. Highly drinkable. Lightly sweet with mild carbonation. MrChopin (4304) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - NOV 25, 2010
At brewpub. Translucent sepia, thick creamy head, small bubbles. Nose shows no spice, very light pumpkin notes with some stouts characteristics. Flavor has pumpkin and milk chocolate at the front and heavy ash in the back, the finish being a spiced mixture of the two. More of a real-pumpkin experience than MS Treat, not as flavorful, rich, or spiced.

Pours a clear dark brown body with a small creamy nitro light brown head. The nose is a wonderful mix of roast, chocolate, pie spices, and roasted carmelzed pumpkin meat. The flavor is really well balanced between the spice, roast, and pumpkin meat. Nothing dominates, very much in harmony with each other. If anything the chocolate is most in the fore, and that pleases me. The lactose emerges on the finish along with the rich milk chocolate for a nice restrained sweetness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a slight creaminess from the nitro treatment. Overall a really wonderful beer. Thanks to Kristen for putting this bug in Terry’s mind!
