On draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear liquid gold with no head. Aroma of barley and pilsner malt. Taste is much the same as the aroma with a touch of light honey. Watery and bland. blipp (9374) - La Mesa, California, USA - JUL 23, 2009
Draft at the brewpub. Gold with a thin white head. The aroma is on the light side, with some floral/grassy hops. The flavor is very well balanced and very refreshing. Floral, grassy hops, bready malt, a hint of sweetness, and some lighter earthy notes. Very well done. MrChopin (4304) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JUL 14, 2009
Draft, tapped earlier that morning. Hazy blond, small white head. Soft grassy nose, lots of bread and lemon with some significant hop presence. Flavor is fab: fresh bread, lemon, yeast, and just-biting hop that adds some herbal punch to the light, complex flavor. Crisp body and slightly carbonated, perhaps even undercarbonated to play with the high-end bread notes. Just all around great pilsener for the Summer. Makes you wish this was done more often. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 7, 2009
Growler, from brewery. Pours a slightly hazy yellow gold body with a nice two finger white head that had decent retention. The nose is nicely hoppy with lots of bready malt and yeast. The flavor is much the same, the yeast really adds a nice softness to the flavor and complements the bready crackery pils malt really well. Grassy and moderately bitter hops linger on in the finish. Mouthfeel is lighter bodied with a wonderfully soft texture and nice light soft carbonation. Really nice beer, makes you wonder why the need to filter a good Pils exists. auerbrau (3203) - Ithaca, New York, USA - JUL 3, 2009
On tap at the brewpub. Nice lemon yellow golden, slightly chill hazed pour. Really, soapy, lacey clean white foam. Amazing, raging fresh grassy aroma, with rich fresh hop character and bubbly cracker grains. Flavor is complex, but a bit tangy. The pilsener malt clashes with the water profile a little. Finishing clean and grassy. There’s some funky yeast edges, but a nice grassiness and a nice pilsener malt character. Good.
