From notes. Enjoyed at a tasting at Andrew’s house on August 18. 750 mL bottle. The pour is a hazy darker golden orange with a thicker white head that falls to a dense cap, leaving a couple spots of lace. The aroma is decently sour. There is a nice lemongrass up front, a sour citrus and a little bit of funk. There is a nice oakiness to it that is better than I thought it would be. The flavor is much of the same. It’s definitely tart and acidic with the citrus and lemongrass, a nice lightly bitter citrus zest, and a light funkiness on the back end. It’s surprisingly complex. The mouth feel is lighter and somewhat crisp with a carbonation that is a little softer than it needs to be. The aftertaste is sour citrus and a little graininess. Surprising offering here. boFNjackson (4201) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 2, 2014
Bottle (thanks BVC)... Poured pale, hazy yellow with a thin head. Had this beer once before and didn’t leave a huge impression. Tthis time, with a little bit of age, it really shined. Dry with a ton of lemon zest and grassy earthiness. A bit of funk with mild sourness. Full mouthfeel and felt just right on the palate. Easy drinking and hitting the spot for funky beer. jtclockwork (16831) - , New Jersey, USA - NOV 26, 2013
Bottle shared by Alan at his house. Pours cloudy orange with white head. Nose and taste of sour malt, funk, orange zest, orange candy, lemon, oak and bread. Medium body. callmemickey (4549) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 6, 2013
Hazy glowing orange, medium sized white head, spotty lacing. Nose is white pear, citrus, vinous white wine oak, a little must. Medium to light bodied, good acidity and tartness, moderate carbonation, nice dry finish. Still drinking well. jkwalking05 (4743) - Arlington, Texas, USA - FEB 28, 2013

750 ml bottle sample (notes). Pours a hazy orange brown with a small bubbly white head. The aroma has tart fruit (pears, citrus), hints of wood, some funk. The flavor has tart, acidic fruit notes, light vinegar, wood. Good carbonation and dry. Overall, pretty nice. wedgie9 (2702) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JAN 6, 2012
Tasted on 8/20/11 from a corked and caged 750mL bottle obtained in a trade. Pours cloudy, but bright orange with a thin white head that recedes to nothing more than very thin spotty lace. The nose is sour and funky with some lactic notes, lemon acidity, barnyard, and a nice dose of vanilla oak treatment. The flavor is tart and sour with lemon acidity, a lightly lactic note, a bit of light malt flavor that I associate with wheat, and the oaky vanilla flavor. The body is medium with average, stinging, carbonation, and a long wheat malt, sour lemon, and vanilla oak finish. nimbleprop (8591) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - DEC 24, 2011
750ml bottle pours a transparent bright gold with one ring of white head. Nose is apple juice, white grape, sweet, a little candy sugar, pears. Flavor is similar, apple juice, candy sugar, pear, some scented candle. Medium bodied, sweet finish. Fairly straight forward. oteyj (2139) - New Hampshire, USA - DEC 15, 2011
Clear golden- straw pour with no head to speak of. Doughy sourness and lactic acid are pretty much all I got from this beer. Hints of vinous grapes and tannic acidity. Ok but not great. craftycarl21 (2338) - Seattle, Washington, USA - DEC 13, 2011
Thanks to MrChopin for this one! Clear golden pour. Bretty tropical fruit, orange, and cheesecloth on the nose. The flavor brings more lovely pineapple and mango, a touch of grainy dough, and light funk. Pretty nice, but not awesome.
