In short: A moderately smoky and sweet blond beer with wheat/banana flavors. Nice.argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 22, 2012
How: Growler shared at Camping Brewdown 2012
The look: Clear light-blond body topped by a small off-white head
In long: Nose is moderately smoky and banana cake. Taste has a strong wheaty sensation (although the base beer is supposedly not a wheat-beer), toasted straw, banana cake, light-medium smoke presence, honey, light notes of caramel. No hops presence, a bit sweet in the finish. This is not the type of beer I like to feel sweet, could have been excellent if more attenuated or more hoppy. Last rating of the first night of Camping Brewdown 2012, where I realized something about myself, I could really be a morning person if I wasn’t such a drink-all-night person.
Growler, Campground Brewdown. Small white head, crystal clear amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, caramel, grapefruit, some dusky, smoke. Taste is moderately sweet, caramel, light smoke. Medium body, light stickiness. GT (10002) - San Diego, California, USA - AUG 21, 2012
Growler shared at Campdown Brewdown. Pours a clear straw, weak head. Nose is rich smoke with melon/candy sweetness. Honey. Taste is oily, honey, thick maple smoke. Very nice, on style. Hard to find a richly smoked blonde ale. jredmond (8517) - New York, New York, USA - AUG 20, 2012
Bottle sampled at Kramer’s campground Brewdown 2012. Pours A light body. Aroma is light smoke, light malts and a subtle sweetness. Mouthfeel is medium to light with notes of wheat, smoke, fruit and light sweet malts. vtafro (7445) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - JUL 27, 2012
Draft. Golden pour with white lacing. Peat, smoke and bacon like aromas. Flavor is overly smoky, but still somehow maintains kolsch like attributes, light in body, low abv, but I don’t desire a large glass of it.

Draft at brewpub. Pours golden with a thin white head that leaves a little lacing. There is a faint but insistent smokiness on the nose. Very smooth drinker with a slight hint of oiliness on the tongue. The smokiness comes back in the finish. It’s really a smoked Kolsch which is an improvement on the style as far as I’m concerned.
