On tap at the brewpub. Aroma is a light, slightly raisin and grain aroma. Pours a beautiful crisp, clean, clear orange, fiery and bright. A creamy light head. Flavor is confused, with a rough blend of coarse, husky grain sugars, some really soppy, wet crystal malt-like sugars that just bleed iced tea and stale candy. The lager crispness is lacking, as is a bright munich malt character. I didn’t enjoy this beer. There’s nothing particularly wrong with the brewing, I just don’t think the recipe is a good formulation and the lagering is sub-par. Wakie (612) - Centreville, Virginia, USA - SEP 24, 2007

Growler, 24 hours old. Pours a clear orangish copper body under a one finger fizzy beige head that settled quickly. Light lazy visible carbonation. Nose is sweet and toasted malt with a touch of butterscotch candies. Cotton candy emerges as it warms. The flavor is much the same, toasty Munich malt lends a slightly grainy and sweet maltiness followed by a lightly bitter finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a little bit of a doughy stickiness on the finish. Moderate fizzy prickly carbonation. Overall, pretty simple, but it was easily drinkable.
