1 yr old... Poured a ruby red color with a thin off white head, that left nice lacing on the glass. Musty aroma of cherries, sweet apples, and a little bit of alcohol. Dusty sweet cherries, lightly sour, though not nearly as sour and woody as it could be. Dry finish, this was heavily carbonated, but felt soft in your mouth. Blended with cherry puree. Works. Wonderful colour, aroma. Little head. Sipped nicely but flavored beers not my preference, and would need at least one more mate to finish. Belgian style with yeast. Probiere (992) - Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 5, 2004
This could use some improvement. Little nose, malts taste flat, and cherries are nearly non-existent. A more aggressive recipe and longer ageing are in order, I believe. An honest attempt but one that falls short.
