(backlog) RBSG ’11 GT Growler. Brown pour with tan head. Aromas include roasted, smoke, oak and peat tones. Bacon, smoke, oak and malt flavors. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 20, 2012
Tap, brewery, backlog. Pours a slightly hazy amber body with a one finger frothy off-white head. Nice woody campfire smokiness with some light Belgian yeast and some caramel malt. The flavor is pretty awesome, lots of smokiness with a unique twist in the Belgian yeast character. Just a touch of sweetness below the smoke. Mouthfeel is light bodied and very easy drinking with light fizzy carbonation. Overall, this is pretty great, enough smoke to please this smoke head! This one goes down quick, easy to drink in big gulps. Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 22, 2011
This poured a medium amber color with a beige head. Aroma was smoked peat and smoked malts on top of belgian yeast and fruits. Flavor was very interesting and not much like anything ive ever had before. Smoked belgian? , nice idea! anders37 (26878) - Malmö, SWEDEN - JUL 21, 2011
Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a hazy amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty smokey aroma. Fruity malty smokey flavor with hints of caramel. Has a fruity malty smokey finish. corby112 (2804) - philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 6, 2011
Pours a hazy dark golden brown color with golden orange hues and a half finger off white head that quickly fades to a thin ring. Spotty lacing left behind.
Smokey malt aroma with BBQ, charcoal and butane countered by sweeter malt notes of caramel and toffee.
Medium bodied but on the lighter side with faint smokiness. Was expecting it to be more intense and smokey but there is more of a sweet malt presence. Subtle hints of charcoal/BBQ but is predominantly sweeter with hints of light fruit, caramel and toffee.

Growler (RBSG). Poured an amber color with a small sized head. Aromas of roast, caramel, and lighter smoke. Tastes of the same light smokiness, roast, and caramel. italarican (1549) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 12, 2011
Growler generously shared at the RBSG grand tasting. Pours an iced tea color. Aroma has a moderately low level of smoke with hints of tea leaves and clove. Flavor is hoppy with some oak and peach but also and unpleasant note of farts. An odd mix of flavors that doesn’t work. decaturstevo (6343) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - JUN 12, 2011

Nice tartness on the nose along with those indescribable Belgian spice notes. Pours dark amber with a nice white head. It has a warming mouthfeel on the finish. Modulated spice notes on the tongue. Very nice.
