kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 5, 2014
Tap. Pours a clear dark gold body under a small wispy white head. The nose is very apple centric, a nice grannie smith quality. The flavor is more farmhouse than fruit beer. Nice earthy wheat and dry slightly funky yeastiness. Finishes with a bit of apple peel and a slight astringency. Lighter bodied with fizzy prickly carbonation and a nice lingering finish. Pretty good farmhouse.

Pours darker gold with a white head. Aroma is earthy, apple and a touch of Brett. Taste is sweet with light tartness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation and some stickiness on the finish.

FROTHINGSLOSH (8069) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 9, 2013
UPDATED: MAY 11, 2013 Sampled on draft at the House of 1000 beers this beer poured a golden amber color with a medium sized foamy yellow-white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sour, tart and funky with hints of apple juice and plums. The flavor was tart and tangy table sugar, plum, apple, yeast, peach pits and a medicinal undertone. Medium length tangy finish with lingering sugar, plum and medicine. Moderately full bodied and smooth. Decent.

Draft at House of 1000 Beers, New Kensington. Pours a clear amber color with a thin white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of tart lemon, lemongrass, apples. The taste is lemon candy, apples, pale malts. Medium bodied.

On tap at HOTB. Mandarin oranges, pears, and a light funk note. Apple must, yeasty. Light golden clear with thin white head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation. Starts sweet with apple notes, light chalky notes, and hop bitterness. A hint of Calvados. Finishes musty and bitter.

This one poured a hazy very light yellow color with a white head. Aroma was of light grains, mild apple, mild brett, not much else. Flavor was fairly bland, very mild apple, with some odd astringecny.

On tap at Al’s of Hamden. Very heavy apple in the nose and flavor. Slight funk in the background and fairly dry. Fairly one dimensional.

egajdzis (6693) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 1, 2013
Hazy golden color with a medium sized, white head with nice lacing. Aroma of apple, brett, vanilla, spices, and toffee. Taste of toffee, toast, Brett, and apple. Sweeter.

callmemickey (4561) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 27, 2013
Dark golden body, moderate off-white head, decent lacing. Nose is apple cider, some acetic notes, sweet. Reminds me of a shitty gueuze from someone like Bellevue. Light bodied, a bit thin, a bit sweet, a bit harsh. Not for me.

3.2
tcane7 (1674) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 26, 2013
Draft at Varga. Pours a cloudy gold with white head and lacing. Notes of apples, stone fruit, mild funk, a little astringent. A little boozy for 6.5% with very mild tartness. Ok
