Enjoyed on tap at the brewpub. A skillful addition by subtraction of the ghost peppers, that kicks in with cherry, at the finish. Very dark brown and lacey. Smoke and chocolate in the aroma. A solid porter, smoked, with the ghost taste. Fuller mouthfeel and surprisingly smooth. ekoerper (599) - Iowa, USA - NOV 12, 2012
Aroma: roast, coffee, some chocolate, pleasant smokiness, some pepper spice. Pours black, not quite opaque, tan head, average retention. Flavor is complex - touch of chocolate, some roast malts and coffee, mellow smoke character, a bit of heat in the finish. Light-medium body, medium carbonation, feels a bit thin, dry and slightly spicy finish. An interesting brew - the smoke and peppers work better than I had expected.
