Draft at Moriartys. Hazy dark brown pour with some pinkish hues. White foam up top. Pungent browned raspberry flavors (which isn?t a bad thing in my book) plus additional dark red fruit. Plums/prunes. Grapes/raisins. Molasses. Quince. Raspberries. Dried apricots. Portobello mushrooms. Bamboo. Green tomatoes. Nicely unfiltered. Very tart. Bit musty in the middle, but fuller bodied than most sours and has a nice dry finish. Nice woodsy honey notes as well. kramer (6905) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 14, 2013
Tap. Pours a slightly hazy pink tinged body with a small fizzy white head that faded to a thin ring. The nose is quite sour and acidic with a heavy raspberry fruitiness, not much plum to speak of here. The flavor is really heavy on the raspberry at first, but then the acidic notes take over and really puckers you up for the finish. A heavy brett funkiness below all the fruit, but this is more driven by the vinegar like acidity than the funk. Light bodied, dry on the finish, bright tart raspberries linger. Good, but not stellar for me, I tend to like less acidic sours. Leafs93 (2343) - Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 8, 2013
Pours a plum brownish hue with off white head. Aroma is plum, raspberries and a touch of funk. Taste is sour with a quick hit of tartness and a crisp somewhat drying finish. Medium bodied, somewhat sticky texture. Works perfectly, almost sweet and sour at the same time.
